Dear all

I am writting in this forum with the hope of learning a bit more about Lyme disease as I am very new on the topic and at this point I do not know what to believe

My fiancee went a couple of weeks ago to a general doctor due to a cold. During his visit my fiancee shared that sometimes he has headaches that seem to come after working out or a heavy week of work. The doctor (who is interested in Lyme disease) asked him if he had other sympthoms such as joint pain, sensitivity to noises, exhaustion, lack of concentration, etc. However the only sympthom he has is headaches.

The doctor then decided to send a blood sample to the lab for ELISA and Western Blot testing. The test came back last week and it was negative for ELISA, but positive by 14 points on Western Blot.

We decided to contact the lab that night and they explained that he should have been bitten by a particular tick coming from a specific region in France. But he does not recall any rash and he has been there only once 20 years ago!

His results came back mainly positive for IgM P100(++), P41(++), OspC(all +), and for IgG P41(+++)

Are these results certain that he has Lyme disease? It is for us difficult to believe that with no rash or other sympthoms than headache it can be such a severe disease as Lyme.

I hope someone in this forum can help us to learn about this

Thanks to all!
