i logged onto lymenet yesteday and got a virus.

now i'm having real problems and will have to call microsoft to get it off.

it's a security thing and it took off my mcafee security. everything is gone.

so just a word to keep an eye out.

i don't know what happened but it's frustrating.

it says there is a problem with lymenet security.

it's called security master AV/

looks like i'm going to have to call microsoft cause mike and i don't have a clue how to get this off.

it deleted my mcafee completely.

Randi, will you please send any information you can to the webmaster. There are all kinds of firewalls, etc. to protect Lymenet. If there is a breach, they need to know. Or send it to me so I can forward it.

Thanks.

Moving to computer questions.

Just saw this posted at another site:

Do not press the F1 key if asked to. It is normally the Help key. There is currently a message going out that asks you to press it. If you do, it can release a potent virus.

Info on this:

Wow, Robin!! [Eek!]

Six... if you move it to computer questions NO ONE will EVER see it! I posted a question there not long ago and no one replied. I don't think anyone goes there anymore.

So

This is the BIGGEST reason I don't try to help people out a lot in the PC area. No one gets back to me so it's a waste of my time.

From now on if you want my help?

Go here and join then join the PC tips and Tricks Group.

LymeLand is gone so I'm answering questions till my new site is ready. [Smile]

Oh and just so ya know? I doubt very much that you got that from this site because if you did there would be a lot of other people from here complaining about the same thing and the board software would have caught it.

Some biggies for catching these things are illegal music or video downloads and porn sites. Not saying anyone has been to those just explaining some of the hot spots for these kinds of things. [Smile]

Steve
