I know this is small potatoes-but it helps me feel better on a personal level. We participated in a community yardsale today- and I put out lyme literature, too.
Wished I had more literature because it's all gone now! Yahoo. But I was able to engage several people who mentioned they had a family member with Lyme Disease. Mostly I stressed seeing an LLMD for adequate treatement, and not to be lulled into thinking it was all under control just because they were given three weeks antibiotic.
anyway- I truly hope a least a few people will take heed.
So if anyone else is having a yardsale-stock up on lyme literature-you'll have some interesting conversations and the opportunity to save someone from a fate worse than death-living with Lyme. Ha!
I wasn't that pessemistic-but I did try to stress the importance of being treated by the right doctors.
It's been a rewarding day- and we got rid of a lot of clutter! some of the stuff was presents from friends and family- I was sure hoping they didn't happen by and see their particular knicknack on the table. Risky Business

Everytime I go to our local support group there are brochures out on a table and I take some home with me. So I hope to make it to the next meeting and get some more. Carol

humanbeing, I contacted the LDA and received material for our school district..It was wonderful..Only problem is that it must wait until school starts again since it arrived a few days after the kids finished for this year..
Carol, I have a few things left over from the fair. If the support group leader doesn't mind, I can share some of it with you, when we share some cake.. lmt
