Tincup~
My newspaper is willing to do an article, but at this time, they want to wait until spring when tick season is more upon us.
I have a lyme story written about myself that can go to whoever, whenever.
People can e-mail me if they want to be interviewed....I would be happy to keep that list. E-mail is [email protected]
The list of professionals to be interviewed....this confuses me. Who do you mean by "professionals"? I assume that ILADS doctors would be OK with being interviewed...do you mean someone else?
Please e-mail me privately...I have a couple of questions for you.

MY mistake!!
I would need to first find folks to organize the lists.
THEN I would forward emails I get to these people to sort through and make a list.
Then.. once lists are made.. I will get them back and I will send names from the lists to those who will need the contacts.. as they are needed.
Sorry I wasn't more clear!!! So please do NOT send your personal info to others right now.
Thanks! `````````````````````````````````````````
T...
We have "other news" to share with papers.. like the CT ATT General's actions.. etc. So we would approach this from that angle. The spring articles will be GREAT too... bu we are on a roll now... and need to keep moving.
Please do list that newspaper and any contact info you have about it for us... and hold it till we have more "organizers" in place. And if you would like to keep the list for folks who can be interviewed.. that is great. Thanks for offering.
As for the list of professionals.. no.. not ILADS docs. I am in a hurry and not doing well explaining.. so sorry.
By professionals I mean NOT ILADS docs.. but willing to be interviewed? Maybe YOUR docs about YOUR situation. Or lawyers involved in Lyme cases.. or medical experts.. lab people.. researchers.. etc.
I will try to email you later. Got a box full in progress... need some time.

TC-personally our family is going through a lot of transition for the next month-hopefully we will be all moved by end of Dec.,but not unpacked for another couple of weeks.
I would like very much to get involved-after all-my babies are just about all grown up and don't need me much anymore.
So I will need to be involved in some other project for posterity. Being on disability- I will definitely need focus and purpose in my life.
Keep me on your list of people who want to get involved-but I have boxes to pack before I sleep. This computer will be unplugged about Dec. 15th -geesh I hope it survives.
U-haul coming tomorrow for bookcases, tables and couches etc. UGH But I get to be director!
Think there will still be something for me to do in January?

Cobweb brain said..
"Think there will still be something for me to do in January?"
Actually little one.. I don't think so.
From what I understand.. Wormser has just recalled all the bad Lyme tests on the market.. retracted the IDSA guidelines and endorsed ILADS as the only way to go. He even placed coupon ads in this Sunday's newspaper for free Zithromax, Rocephin, Mepron and Doxycycline... his treat... with an unlimited supply available to all.
In the meantime Bumsteere has just sent $2.5 million dollar checks to everyone who was ever bitten by a tick.. and doubled that amount for those who were negative on any Lyme test.
And I just got an email saying Hopkins has turned over it's entire facility.. lock, stock and barrel, to any and all Lyme doctors.. all expenses paid... and sent their ducks to the Artic Circle to compete in end to end games of "Go Fish" with playing cards that catch fire and burn if the temperature goes below a balmy 80 degrees.

GEEZE.. I just NOW figured out what the lp stands for in front of Kayak.
DUH ME!!! I should have caught that.. ya think?
NOT the brightest bulb on the tree.. am I?
Yes.. kayak.. you are right... the ticks are still active.. according to studies.. with 80 percent of the ground covered in snow. The hunters here sometimes back up to a tree truck.. or honey suckle patch while "waiting".. or resting.
The ticks are on them.. even when they have to brush off the snow to sit down.. like trained hounds on a fox trail.
And you aren't alone with the paper problem. Ever tried Charmin? HA!
OK.. must be the breakfast cereal I ate today making me so goony..
Anyhow.. that is what we are hoping to fix. More media.
Soooooooooooooo.. can I count you in?
Did I see that hand raised as a new volunteer?
I NEED HELP! I'm drowning here. Got more to do than Santa's elfs right now!

Tincup,
I'm volunteering to help keep track of lists. I can start the week after X-Mas. I can't get to it before that because of finals.
I'm also volunteering to eventually see if we can manage the lists online on a secured site that key volunteers can access with a password.
By eventually, I mean I can't start that until February. By start, I mean talk to friends/coworkers who know the tech stuff and see if they can help.
I want to keep my name out of the media until after I try to publish my paper. So it seems more objective.

I think I'm ok at making lists and being somewhat organized.
(I'm not counting the piles of papers and unattended to bills all over my floor and furniture. I can't bring myself to do those.)
I'm willing to help if I can. It's a better fit for me than trying to write, talk or make sense, really.
Otay? Let me know what you need and I'll see if I can get it together enough to help somehow.

I am in too. I want to get a hold of you, Tin Cup.
I wanted to get some basic information to send to my Congresswoman who has suggested a possible Inquiry.
I have tried to get info on Lyme Disease published: my story and an interview with Dr. G. When the local health reporter found out about Dr. Jones she never got back to me....
But now that I finally got the one and only doc in the state to treat me w/ IV's, I feel I am in a better position for starters that I am finally battle the disease after ten years rather than battling a misinformed, ignorant system.
