My thought about the walk though would be to have non-sufferers walk for someone they know who suffers from Lyme.

OK, Since I had this brilliant idea early in the morning, having woken up from the sore throat I live with, and it is now officially afternoon.
I'm going to take a nap!
Anybody want to pay a charity fundraiser for my napping prowess???

Karen, I'm going to start training, right now! In case we can find sponsors I sure want to be in my best napping form.

Hmmmm... Possibilities here. Shall we wear hospital gowns or jammies?

Wow, so many ideas! I love this! It is great. We can have Lymies wear jammies and nap-in at there local health department and non-lymies walking for someone they know or just because. That way we can raise twice as much money!
I am totally up to that. I should probably start training...
Or maybe we could have community nap-ins. I would love to have a nap-in at my school. Who wouldn't pay a dollar to not have to do classwork!?! I would. Or they could go walk around our track if they were in that kind of mood!
HaHa...so many possibilities...HaHa...love the idea though!

Oh yea, our local news people love doing stories on stuff like that so it would be a great opportunity to get the word out about Lyme in our area! Just a thought! Still loving the idea of the nap though!

We could combine the two groups -- lymenappers in the middle raising money by the half hour, and lymewalkers on the perimeter going round and round raising money for each round trip.
Both groups could exchange at some point -- a walker taps a napper or a napper lets a walker know they now can take a rest.

LOL, I like how you think -- warped!
The Walk Against Lyme is getting organized, and people are beginning to sign up. There will be a one-day walk/run on Minnesota on May 5, and a team "stroll" throughout the month of May.
No more talk about "gee, it would be nice." It's happening! Hope you'll sign up. It's fun, and you get to hear from walkers all over the country. (If you want to do a "nap-in" as part of it, great, but I will not be able to organize that for you, I have taken on enough.)
Read the post about the Walk here, and PM me for further info.
