"LYME AID" AT VARSITY THEATER MARCH 30
Benefit concert for local veterinarian with Lyme disease

"Lyme Aid," a benefit concert for Dr. Trudy Jacobs, DVM, will be held at 7:30 pm, March 30 at the Varsity Theater in Davis.

The all-female band "Little Sister" will perform. Their music has been
described as "an estrogen-spiced, funky mix of blues, rock acoustic
folk and twisted country."

Jacobs, a UC Davis-trained veterinarian, has been suffering the
increasingly debilitating effects of chronic Lyme disease for more
than ten years. She is unable to work, and her out-of-pocket treatment
costs are over $1500 month.

A group of her friends have joined together to raise money to help
Trudy afford the essential treatments she needs, so that she can
return to work, be an active part of her family, and be the friend and
veterinarian she wants to be.

The group also hopes to help raise awareness of Lyme disease.
Educational material about the prevention and treatment of Lyme will
be available.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Available at Armadillo
Music in Davis, or by emailing [email protected].
