... and the number is still growing.

The IDSA guys cannot be happy with this popularity contest even if many times their spin is there.

156 - just ten minutes later.

About one story published every 3 minutes. Nice!

when you hit the first link of this tread, on Google, you can see the number at the right side.

then, with the exact headline as other papers/media outlets pick up the story, you can see the various places that have taken it up.

Unfortunately, I found several glaring errors (and some undercutting patients in choice of words) in the Hartford paper's piece and every one of the, now 229, other media groups has repeated those errors.

Still, it says something must have been out of wack, but the IDSA remarks are so much spin I'm not sure the average person will know the scope of this. I hate the use of "patients believe" and the quotes for "chronic" - but, again, great work from AG Blumenthal.

The AG's original statement is far more comprehensive than the news articles.

That can be found here: http://www.ct.gov/ag/cwp/view.asp?a=2795&q=414284
