i want to vote for the candidate that will be best for us chronic lyme sufferers.

so far a republican congressman has been the most helpful to lyme sufferers. that pallone a democratic congressman from nj has caused us the most harm.

what presidential candidate would be the best to promote our adgenda?

i know obama wants universal health coverage but im sure there would be no long term treatment for chronic lyme in that.

universal health coverage would surely not cover us chronic suffers anyway. so who should we vote for that would make our situation better?

please share opinions. thanks

cat,

MY personal opinion ... OBAMA signed on as CO-SPONSOR OF OUR LYME DISEASE BILLS IN CONGRESS!!

MCCAIN HAS NOT; NOR HAS HE GIVEN HIS ARIZONA LYME PATIENT CONSTITUENTS ANY REASON WHY HE WILL NOT CO-SPONSOR OUR BILLS!!!

pure fact! check our lyme bills!! 2 more signed on recently; 1 was a house rep from my state of IOWA; never heard who the other one was!

had it been mccain; we would have heard!

everyone needs to VOTE for person of their choice; OBAMA IS MY CHOICE! [Wink]

Hey Blackcat...

Happy Halloween and PLEASE don't cross my path!

[Big Grin]

I agree with BettyG.

I can't say who will be best for Lyme or for the country ... but I can say that Obama did sign on to cosponsor our bill.

Although I have the greatest respect for McCain and he is a hero in my eyes for his service to our country.... after months of requests from hundreds of people, he has not signed on.

And like BettyG said... no explanation has been given. That pretty much sucks like a tick.

I like the fact Obama is accessible to the "normal" people... and listens. (Assuming any of us can be considered "normal".) HA!

Now.. Biden from Delaware has NOT signed on after multiple attempts and LOTS of educational efforts (is he a dreaded Dupont baby?).

FYI- Dupont Children's Hosp has a horrible reputation for Lyme... and a number of BIG ducks are associated with it... so I have to wonder.

Having the state that has the highest number of people affected by Lyme (per capita).... that sucks like a tick too.

Palin.. what a cute little whipper snapper... of course is a Governor and can't sign on... but...

Being an avid outdoorsman... my bet is she knows bugs.

Soooooo.. I can't say who would serve us best.. but I can share what has been their history with our specific cause.

Hope that helps.

BTW- I think all of the health care plans suck like a tick too.... but that is just MY opinion.

[Big Grin]

I have contacted McCain's office several times since moving to AZ...before he was running for President.

No response.

I have always felt it was wrong to just focus on one thing when picking a President.

But, this year...health seems to be the only thing I can focus on.

Don't really see either candidate making a difference when it comes to lyme disease.

I do see the bill getting passed making a difference.

Perhaps our focus should be towards Congress and the Senate members or canidates.
