Hi everyone,
Yesterday I was watching the Early Show on CBS when Fran Drescher was talking about cancer and how she had to be her own best health advocate, and she urges everyone else to do the same.
I decided to email the show and ask them to do a segment on lyme during lyme disease awareness month in May.
I told them how I had to be my own best advocate since I was only diagnosed with lyme (after having a fibromyalgia diagnosis for 21 years) due to my own research and persistence.
I included alot of info about how difficult it is to get proper treatment and how insurance co's only reimburse for short term antibiotics etc.
I am hoping to hear something back...(I know...but I AM an optimistic person!!!)
