Hi,
As some of you may already know I recently saw a screening of the film.

I had a few questions and wasn't sure if anyone here might have the answers.

I was wondering since Bono of U2 is very big on activism if he ever spoke out about the film, or made any press releases?

If not I wonder if there is a way to get the band to acknowledge it somehow since the woman who works for them played a large part in the film? Maybe as a group we could write to the band...Just a thought.

Ann

It's worth a try. Do you have an address?

I wrote to "Under our skin," to try and get the scoop. I will see what they say. After that I if I'm sure there must be an email address to send them messages. I googled and didn't see anything but want to make sure before I write to them. I will keep you posted . I would kind of be suprised if they didn't already pursue it but who knows.

Thanks,
Ann

Here was Eve's response:

Hi Ann - Good point! We did send him the film but we do not know if he has seen it all the way through.

He does not have Lyme disease nor does anyone in his band so I'm not sure he would be the right advocate for this cause.

He was very generous to let us use his music in our film!

But I forwarded this suggestion to the Director and Producer and perhaps we will think of contacting him.

We are actually focusing on finding celebrities with Lyme to come out and speak on behalf of Lyme, rather than celebrities who do not have Lyme...

Here was my response:Hi,
Thanks for the quick response.

Yeah, I figured it might be worth a shot with him being such a big aids advocate.

I thought he might be open to it and then of course with the girl who worked for them having it.

Thanks again for passing my suggestion along, I appreciate it!

Sincerely,
Ann Ehlers

On a side note I didn't write it but I was thinking it, he is a big aids advocate, and I'm not aware of him or anyone in the band having it...

Just think they may be missing a great opportunity here but crossing my fingers. I can try and find an email address and we could still write to them...wouldn't hurt.

Thanks,
Ann

Better I think to try Hall & Oates. One of them battled Lyme, I forget which one.

Hi,
That is great Betty I sent you a private message with Eve's info. Now you've got me curious about that Olympic skater I didn't see that one. I'm going to go look for it!

Thanks,
Ann
