Hi,

Considering the AAN panel was found to have the same conflicts of interest as the IDSA's (more or less), are any actions being taken to force a re-examination of the AAN's guidelines?

I looked at your link... and this is strange. I was just yesterday looking up those IDIOT guidelines for a project I am working on...

But anyhow.. their site says.. about their publication...

"Neurology Today

Neurology Today is a bi-weekly >> tabloid newspaper<< covering important clinical, research, policy, practice, and other news relevant to neurologists."

Tabloid is right!

[lol]

Their guidelines should be referred to as the "National Neurology Inquirer."

As for an investigation... or whatever...

The authors, some from the IDSA guidelines, were all busted.

I don't know of any additional sanctions they will face at this time... but in my opinion they should be dipped in applebutter and hung on a barb-wired fence to bake in the sun.

My bet is it will be a while till they jump in head first and play games with the IDSA idiot authors.

Oh.. and BTW-

Watch for Psych Guidelines to be forthcoming addressing Lyme disease... or post-Lyme syndrome.

I heard they were trying to get us in the psych manual again too.

That is one reason for Robert Wood Johnson to be publishing all that psych gibberish and their garbage studies... in my opinion.

Maybe you didn't know... and maybe don't care.. but it is kinda funny NOW. Not funny then though.

Years ago Bumsteere and his butt kissing gang tried to get a new diagnostic code/category for us.

It was to be a mental disorder called ... get this...

"Antibiotic Seeking Behavior".

Do you believe that?

We were all to be written off as having ANTIBIOTIC SEEKING BEHAVIOR!

We've come a long way baby, thankfully.

And you'd THINK they would give it up this late in the game.

But NOOOOOOOOO... they won't quit.

But then again, neither will we.

And what about them? Staying nice, I'd say they have Say Anything Behavior.
