Turned out to be a good way to spread the word around. The parks' staff took all of my home-made warning signs off of the premises (grrr).

So I bought a cheap little squirrel/bird feeder thing with a plexiglas cover where the lid opens on top so the brochures are protected from the elements, and it was totally empty last week.

I put them up at the very end of July. This is a relatively small park, but has trails, frolf course, etc, so is visited by many "outdoorsy" folks.

I also saw a couple of joggers taking them as I was walking my dog recently (yeppers, WITH permethrined pants, you know it! [Smile]

Turned out to be a pretty good way to get the info out there.

Other great places to leave them...libraries, waiting rooms in docs office (I don't ask, I just casually leave them there with the other reading materials), pharmacies, Board of Health in town, grocery stores...
I used to set up a table at the little local fairs and hand those out.

If you are installing brochure dispensers in parks, you might need permission. Otherwise, they might just remove it.
