The Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009 (H.R. 4173),
just adopted by the House of Representatives (and sent to the Senate as S.3217) includes language --
offered by Rep. Waxman [D - CA]
-- giving more power to the Federal Trade Commission to make general rules for interstate commerce that could be used to restrict truthful
information about dietary supplements, by requiring expensive, "drug company" level clinical trials before vitamin companies could
make claims about their products. ================================================= Help protect our supplies by objecting to this.

Yep - they're at it again - millions spoke up against the McCain bill and stopped it.
Now they're trying to get around the 1994 DSHEA legislation which protects our use of supplements by going through the FTC -
same deal - we have to speak up again - this time telling our senators not to include any language in these bills that restricts our access to supplements.
As probably all of us take supplements here, this affects all of us -
THIS IS AN ALERT - spread the message to as many friends/organizations as you know of to go to the above link - thx -
