If you, or someone you know, has Lyme Disease,
or if you care about those suffering with lyme disease and want to help,

PLEASE sign a petition supporting

SENATE BILL 1199,

to be presented at a public hearing on June 22.

This bill will give doctors the authority and flexibility to treat patients with negative titer testing but who are suffering from many of lyme disease's symptoms.

No longer should doctors have to deny patients antibiotic therapy simply because they do not test "positive" for lyme disease.

No longer should insurance companies be able to deny benefits towards patients suffering from a clinical diagnosis.

If you are a PA resident, please sign the petition at www.lymeactionpa.com

or

Contact Senator Pat Vance, voicing your support of Senate Bill 1199, at 717-975-1199
or Senator Jeff Piccola at 717- 896- 7714.

THIS BILL NEEDS 1,000 SIGNATURES TO PASS.
DON'T DELAY!!

IMPORTANT: lymeactionpa.com, Bill 1199

A public hearing on June 22 at the Capitol in Harrisburg, 10am-12pm

We must be there and show our support!!!!

PA Senate Lyme Bill #1199, Wtr/Spring 2010

Target:Senator Don White, Chair of Banking &
Insurance Committee reviewing Bill.

Sponsored by: MontCoLyme, York County Lyme, LDA-SEPA, Lyme Society.

This petition asks for ACTION on PA Senate Lyme Bill #1199 (2010) regarding Lyme Disease.

You must be a PA resident - pls include your name, city, zip, email, and reason

(AND - PLEASE email [email protected] this information as well- Care2Petition does not provide this data to us only your name)

- without that the Senate won't recognize your signature.

5/12/10 UPDATE: the committee has set the public hearing date: 6/22.

See www.lymeactionpa.com for details.

Please plan to go to Harrisburg - we need to show how many people are affected and care about this bill!

This petition indicates that we and our families have been personally affected or seen others affected, and are concerned about education and prevention of these debilitating diseases.

And that the current level of awareness, prevention, and medical diagnosis and treatment stance in PA with these diseases is just unacceptable and MUST change.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO?

1) please email [email protected] with your full story in more length - we are compiling a "case compendium". If your case clearly illustrates the need for this bill, send us your case.

2) You can also write to your senator asking them to support this bill, and cc: [email protected], and [email protected], AND [email protected].

3) Lastly - if you want to do more - WE NEED YOU - email [email protected]. Thank you!!
