I know that Connecticut and Massachusetts have Lyme Legislation in place to protect physicians treating Lyme patients long-term, but are there any in other states? And what does this kind of legislation really protect? Can an insurance company still deny the treatment? Are doctors wary of this legislation?
I am trying to figure out where to go to graduate school and am thinking of moving from New York to CT or MA so that I can get proper treatment. I'm a pre-service teacher and must complete a masters program in order to get (keep) a job in NY after my initial 5 years of certification.

Welcome to LymeNet.
Several states have legislation in place... but I would not make any decision about your future plans based on Lyme legislation. It is not all inclusive and there are too many variables.
Even in states where there are bills of some sort the doctors can still be attacked under what is referred to as sham peer review.
Legislation does not cover insurance reimbursement in all cases ... so keep in mind you still may have to fight them to get what is needed.
I hope you make your decision based on life itself and enjoyment, as much as possible. Wish I had better answers, but there are no "for sures" in this Lyme mess.
