S.L.A.M. (Sturbridge Lyme Awareness of MA)has learned Governor Patrick will sign a Proclamtion to recognize the month of May as Lyme Disease Awareness Month in Massachusetts! With the help of Senator Brewer who contacted the Governor on our behalf, this Proclamtion will repeat annually and serve to raise awareness! S.L.A.M. is hoping you will all put out lime green ribbons and take part in "Ribbons Across America" for the month of May. We need to be visible and "ribbons" does that! Together we can make a difference!

Can we do something like lime green rubber bracelets or something like that? Like the yellow ones by Lance Armstrong for cancer? Or, has the Lime green color already been used for some other cause?

I hand out lime green wrist bands to our support group attendees. "Ribbons" is a different campaign and we ask all fo the lyme community to take part during the month of May! It makes us visible and is easy to see.
