Long post but very exciting opportunities here to easily reach thousands.

This is the best news I have seen on the advocacy front since the IDSA was threatened with lawsuit.

As you guys know from the previous poster, Dr. Wiseass, Netflix does have Under our skin available for instant play.

read it all before you review the film on netflix. we need to get organized first.

What is really exciting is the member reviews/comments people are making about the film on the netflix site.

There are people on their saying how moving an eye opening the film was, but there are also people on their spouting the IDSA, CDC, stuff.

One poster even referred to Chronic Lyme as Somatoform disorder, which the IOM report recently referred to as well.

you can only rate the film one time. So if more of us participate we can win this debate.

You can rate others comments as helpful or not helpful.

Currently 189 members have rated the film and given their comments. Many of them are very positive.

Currently their are 21 pages of member reviews/comments including my own posted last month.

It would be great to organize a regular flow of people to get on there and comment on the real Lyme disease to counter balance the IDSA position that we are all nuts.

What do you all think? The debate really is playing out right there in the Member reviews.

If you are not a member they do have a free 30 day trial, and maybe those people should post first, since they can't see the member reviews until they join.

If you join see if there is a way to say you joined because of UOS.

So once your a member, don't post there, post here that someone needs to post. Would that work?

It takes up to 24 hours for a post to show up. They will not be posted if there is inappropriate language etc.

If you are a member here are directions to see them:
1. go to the netflix site.

2. search for the film title using the search box in the upper right hand corner.

3. Click on the film title which will take you to the films pageon netflix.

4. Scroll down below the films description and there are the member reviews.

Don't everyone comment at once. This may be a marathon, not a sprint.

Wait till there is an IDSA type comment with no opposing response.

This is the best opportunity to educate that has come along.

I hope to hear from you all and that we can decide how to get this effort organized.

Linda

Linda, I believe you have a great idea, but we need MORE people, and we need to figure out how to organize.

I am in, and please let me know what I can do to help. I am ready to post a comment at any time. I haven't gone to the page yet, but I plan to review the comments tonight or tomorrow.

I am glad to hear you say that most are very positive, and that there is a large number of comments. This means that people are watching, and that is great news in itself.

Let's DO this! [Smile]

Comments are now up to 217 members. Going to review a few tonight, then head to bed.

Anxious to read what people are saying.

Strange happenings on Netflix! Hopefully, it is just a "glitch," but I was reading and rating comments on page one. I then tried to go to page 2, and I kept getting a message saying that "comments are not available right now, try again later," or something of the sort. Tried three times and it would not let me past page one.

Will see what it is doing later today.
