Note to Madame Moderator -
My Dear Tutu
I observe that you first removed the a thread addressing the above topic from "general support" and reposted it to "Activism" -
Then, you scrubbed the thread for any comments that were deemed "political" -
Then, you closed the thread!
Respectfully, I would suggest that closing the thread was a "political comment" in and of itself!
As Phyllis Mervine of lymedisease.org so aptly points out in the article posted above, the press has responded to comments made by a national campaign, that are both adverse to our cause, as well as mildly supportive.
I think it important that an open discussion of this subject should be allowed in, of all places, the Lyme Community. It is imperative that Lyme patients are made aware of this national discussion, and allowed to discuss its pros and cons together, so that they are informed as to the controversy.
Thanks for hearing me out.

It's good to see and know that someone has our back! (meaning lymedisease.org)
Thanks for pointing this out, I was hoping someone would address the erroneous articles that were being circulated...

Aunty (I agree). You cannot post something with a candidates name in it and not expect a political response, especially when we have an election coming up.

i also want to say-and if this is political-please just take this one post off-not the whole thread
i know first hand that the current administration is aware of the lyme problem---all of it---controversy, idsa, ilads...
i dont know exactly why not much has been done to help us...but i know they are aware-and want to be supportive
