I'm having trouble urinating, and I'm shaking all over!!! My face to my legs!!!!
I'm very scared!!! this shaking has been none stop. I took a zanax laast night and it helped a little bit.
i woke up in the mioddle of the night shaking and I took anotheer zanax and was able togo back to sleep.
Has anyone had this before? Foer how long?
I knoew herxing is a good thing but why the shaking? Is the abx attacking something?

1.) herxing
2.) bartonella ( not babesia)
I tried to sleep through it the best I could. I also lost the ability to pee. It was not a great time for me.
My husband even called my doctor the first night on a sunday night around 10 PM. The doctor called right back and talked to both me and my husband for a good while until we were both comfortable and understood what was going on.
They shakes have gotten worse since the first one in that they are more intense and last longer! But we at least know what is going on now. My doctor prescribed Klonipin (sp?) I take 1/2 to one mg two times a day. I also have a xanax prescription for 3 times a day but I have not had to take it much since I started the klonipin. It seems to help more with shakes than the xanax does!
I learned something from you today I have had the trouble urinating I just thought I was having a shy bladder moment or something. Until it started happening at home also then I began to worry. I was just to embarrassed to say much to my doctor about the situation. Now i know it could be caused from lyme or a herx or the combination of the two. That is a relief I think.
Thanks,
Stacie
It's been very scary.
Stacie, you and I started treatment around the same time, I try to ead your posts, they've helped me more than you know!!!
Thank you so much, Jamie:0

Does your LLMD believe in letting you back off meds a little - a day or two - so your body can keep up with the toxin load? Call and see - it may just help make life a little more dealable.
It's not a race; what's the point crashing and burning on the track 12 times and never making it to the finish line. Sometimes, you just have to pull off for a pitstop.

I like this "It's not a race; what's the point crashing and burning on the track 12 times and never making it to the finish line. Sometimes, you just have to pull off for a pitstop."
" tell yourself everyday that
"you are getting better". thank youn all

I had shakes before antibiotics, off and on for a couple years. The herx increased them and now I rarely ever have them.
It affects even the way I walk!

I had the shakes off and on for the first year of treatment. It was so bad at one point that my MD had me admitted to the hospital to rule out MS or Lupus or Parkinsons or other things. I was off abx during that time and the shaking stopped for a bit.
When I went back on abx I knew what to expect and didn't panic when the shaking started. I was given Klonopin to take, as needed. I haven't had the shakes in a few months now and am about 50% better than I was 2 years ago.
It eventually goes away as you lessen the germ/toxin load. And, you will start peeing like a person again, not like a camel.

I hope yours ends soon, if not already!
YIKES!
I think you are shaking cause you are just plain old weird.
I've never heard of that happening before to anyone.. and I am sure you are just acting strange.. like I know you can.
Have you been hanging from tree limbs again too?
Ok.. just kidding.
For a chocolate milkshake... I will answer your question. Deal?
Soooooo... You owe me one!
The shaking does happen.. even if your name isn't Elvis the pelvis.
I don't know exactly what causes it.. but it hasn't killed anyone that I know of... so perhaps you will be around a while?
I hope so!
Me TINKS it is a brain thing... and I have gotten some relief from it by going to the chiropractor when it was happening.. and also another time from backing off the meds.
It isn't fun...
Keep this in mind. If you are herxing so bad you do this...
Is it time to back off the meds?
I think you might find that a decent solution... and am glad you put an end to it basically.
It may return here and there.. but know that it is your body telling you something.
So please DO listen to it.
Ok, Ms. Rock and Roll?
