I have read in various places that some people have been cured of their LD by using ozone. Has anyone here found it to be true. The direct inject method sounds like it would be the one that would work. It has been reported to cure even AIDS.

Micul,

Welcome to Lymenet.

Never did O3, but here's a lead:

For starters on the subject, a good source would be http://www.GaryNull.com. Do a search on this site for further leads.

Good Luck,

Ozone therapy is really cool. I have an ozone sauna, can do that, and also insufflation. The only drawback is detoxing, I mean, if you are killing lots of stuff you are not going to feel good. I have to go judiciously and in small amounts.

Here's a goo darticle:

if it cured it, we'd all be 'outta here'!!!

but I think like many alternative therapies, it can help...

I have been using PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) devices over 2 years. I do not claim to be totally well, but very close to well.

In a week I will be headed over to the Philippines to visit and help some missionaries there. It has been 15 years since I was well enough to do things like this. This January I was down in Mexico as well. Thats two trips in one year.

Last week I went to my chiropractor to see what he could do for a hiatal hernia. Guess what he has? He has borrowed a PEMF/Diathermy machine. I asked if I could try it on my hips as my PEMF device is not strong enough. After one treatment the pain was gone for hours.

He said he will likely buy it as he has had lots of good reports with it. He tried it on my sinus's and it may have helped a little but not all that much. His receptionist said it stopped her knee pain.

If you are tired of migraines and arthritis and have nor tried PEMF, find someone with one or talk your chiropractor into borrowing one and give it a try. My homemade low power "Doug" machine stopped my migraines in one treatment. Arthritis takes several treatments.

All you need is a TV or Monitor degaussing coil and a high power audio amplifier connected to your computer or CD player, or a 24 to 48 volt power supply like two car batteries.

PEMF is not dangerous. Your heart produces PEMF every time it beats. If you are well enough just go jogging. If not then try PEMF.

I did ozone blood therapy many times. It did not come close to curing me. Yet, if you have the bucks, try it. Maybe it will do something for you/

Hobo, How much did you do. Ed McCabe says that it takes a lot. Every day for up to 2 months. The only way someone could do it would be by direct inject, otherwise the big needles for the Major Auto Hemo's would kill you.

It may cure you as one of the therapies among the 99 others that most Lyme sufferers have to do. Ozone alone does not - it's difficult to get it into the places where it is needed, and if the underlying conditions are not at least partially corrected, ozone alone does not.

I have had several forms of ozone, by needle and otherwise, but I did many therapies before and after and I got well. I have met many people who have had umpteen different methods of treatment - have not met anyone that got well from ozone alone. It's a good adjunct.
My favorite still is KMT22/S21- (Klinghardt Matrix Therapy) a frequency and microcurrent combination specifically developed for Lyme and coinfections, viral, fungal, parasitic infections that afflict most Lyme patients. Plus the necessary lymph clearing and cell regeneration. It remains our best experience, brought continuous improvement toward total cure. And you can do the treatment also while asleep in bed overnight.

Hope you find what helps. Take care.

Carlos LeClair, a man in his 70's, feels ozone saunas cured him of lyme. I interviewed him at one point. He had lyme undiagnosed, got really sick, did about 2 years of antibiotics, then went to ozone saunas after abx helped only partly and then became ineffective. He not only feels it put him in permanent remission, he got a bullseye coming out at one point when he did 10 days in a row.

Others on here have posted recently, making thier own cheap sauna setups that they were doing better.

It's all individual I guess but it's a very interesting therapy. The one thing is that you have to detox properly--

I don't know that is "cures" Lyme but it can certainly help with easing the symptoms.

The ozone stimulates the body's immune system to promote healing in a specific area of the body. It was administered to me for bursitis/tendinitis in my shoulder and I felt that it helped a great deal.

The type of therapy I was given was called "Prolotherapy" and involved ozone injections into the affected area. Osteopaths seem to be the ones who administer this type of therapy.

For information on Prolotherapy, you can consult http://www.prolotherapy.com.

Prolotherapy does not involve ozone injection.

In Prolotherapy, the proliferant is tailored to the conditon and body type of the patient. It contains one or more of three common substances: Dextrose, Glycerine and Phenol. These three ingredients have been used together since 1948 in Britain. The doctor chooses which.

The word comes from Prolos - a Latin word coined by George Hackett that means to stimulate growth. It has been found over the last 150 years that a variety of agents stimulate the growth and regrowth of ligament tissue. In many instances, it is thought, the stimulation for ligament growth is from an internal bruise, or hematoma anbd the induction of the natural healing process. The cells responsible for creating the fibers or "strings" in the body, the fibroblasts which lay down the collage, are stimulated to replicate and produce the collagen. Simpy put. prolotherapy consists of stimulating ligaments to grow and heal themselves.

Lyme disease can have a strong effect on the condition of the ligaments. I had it very badly. I received one injection as "Prolotherapy" and it worked wonders. My husband had to carry me into the doctors' office; I had not been able to walk for days; I started to walk the next day, and all pain was gone forever from thereon.
So it works.

But I would warn everyone - this should only be done by a doctor who has lots of experience with administering Prolotherapy.
My doctor told me he does it "blindfolded" - he has done them for many years. He very carefully chooses the patient before he does it. It is not done for every backache.
So go only to an expert.

A certain exercise is a must after the injection: In order to stimulate new growth of collagen, the proliferant is injected, but in order to align the new collagen correctly with the existing ligament tissues, it is very important for the structures to heal in the presence of movement. This will protect the ligament from forming adhesions to neighboring structures and increase longitudinal alignment of the new collagen. Your doctor should give you written instructions and demonstration. Repetition of these movements ensures proper healing.

Take care.

Hi Gigi,

I definitely had ozone injected into my shoulder when I had prolotherapy. The doctor told me that's what he was injecting and I could even smell it. This is going to sound gross, but when I moved my shoulder I could feel the gas gurgling.

I find it interesting that there are other "ingredients" also used in the course of prolotherapy. I was under the impression that the main one was the ozone. Guess I have some more homework to do.

What is amazing is how well prolotherapy relieves pain. The last thing I wanted for my shoulder was a cortisone injection and I was grateful to have found this wonderful course of treatment.
