I'm scared because I tink my Picc is messing up. Or should I say closing up.

It's hard to flush, and get the meds. in without a million beats from the machine saying " occlusions"

So any experiences out there?I sure could use them.

I know to tell my home nurse...MON.

Oh wait I guess I can also ask my llmd on Mon. I have an apt. with her at 12:00.

Anyway any thoughts I'd appreciate

Jamie

I agree with achey call your home nurse today and if needed your LLMD. I had a picc line that was put in on August 25th and ended up having to have it pulled last monday. It was a little harder to flush and it took longer for my medicine to drip through, it used to take 30 minutes it was getting to where it took 45 or so. Plus the medicine began to burn. My arm hurt the whole arm too and it just kept getting worse.
It was beginning to get infected and they had to pull it. So I would call my nurse tonight and the llmd also if needed. I called my nurse first and she said to call my LLMD but I didn't speak to him until the next day so call your nurse especially and I would now.
