Does anyone else have vivid dreams or nightmares when you herx or other times? I have had some real strange ones recently.

Just for kicks, I'll tell you that I had one dream about trying to get two posionous spiders to mate and I acidentaly broke the female's leg closing the jar.

Just wondering if this is LD, or babs, or erlichia, or if I'm just weird.

Hi there,

Yes, I have had some strange dreams..nightmares...about bugs too, but they were ticks..crawling all over.

I don't know what infection it's from..maybe all of them? I do think it's related to herxing, at least it is for me.

PS: I think were both weird.

Hope yours go away.

Hi there!
Before I got diagnosed with Lyme I had horrible nightmares with extreme nightsweats.
After I started treatment for babesia it got worse for the first three months, I am on my fifth month of babs treatment and I still have ocasional night sweats but no more nightmares.
I am not a doctor but I believe is a symptom that worsen when herxing.
Or maybe is just all those bugs we have crawling inside us!.
Take care,
lymster.

We have been told by our doctor that it is a good sign; you are detoxing.

I don't know what this means, but when I dream constant, it puts me in a unreality state of mind the next day. I guess we just long for a good, healthy nights sleep.(Whatever that means anymore). I'm on treatment for lyme, rocephin IV 3 gm. and just got off flagyl after 1 mo.

Yes, my dreams are vivid and fast moving, in full color, especially when herxing. I think this is common.

My dreams are very vivid.

Infrequent nightmares; none since I started abx for my7-04 lyme dx.

Just dx 12-28-04 w/sleep apnea & restless leg syndrome; do you have that too?

Best wishes to all. Betty G., Iowa

I'm getting these as a result of cordyceps (of all things)

Interesting

Vitamin B6 can cause this.

When my lyme and possibly co-infections get going, my sleep cycle shortens and I don't go into the

deep sleep. From what I've read, the first part of your sleep cycle is the part where you

experience the traumas; the second part of the sleep cycle is where you can be the actor and

deal with the experience. My bad dreams are about family issues and since I don't cycle into the

next, it is like every night is a bad dream. I have been doing pretty well lately, but in the

last 10 days have started this getting up several time a night. I am hoping this is just the hot

weather and I drink to much water and have to go to the loo. [Roll Eyes]

OtterJ, you described my nights perfectly. I restarted abx about a month ago, and I haven't had a night of restful, deep sleep since.

My dreams are stuck in trauma/drama stage, and I never see them resolve. I also have many different dreams a night, and I seem to wake up at the end of each cycle, rather than completing the dream.

I fall into much deeper sleep after about 5 hours of this. Strangely enough, I haven't felt as tired as I would think I should be during the day.

I saw plaquenil mentioned above, and I am on it. Maybe that explains. I am treating bart pretty strongly right now, and I think it is one of my bart symptoms.

10 years of racing dreams and nightmares. Don't eat to close to bed,NO artificial sugars except stevia. htp and theanine help me.I also use Ativan wich helps the most but is addictive. Trust me,artificial sugars will cause nightmares.

lol. I had a string of vivid dreams during treatment. very complicated plot twists, like movies. but the one bug one I remember was part of a 3 part dream, but in this part I was lying on a bed covered with a bedspread made of grass with my mother (who wasn't my real mother) and crawling along the bed was tick with a little yellow flag sticking off his back with the number 5 on it.

I remember telling my LLMD we both just laughed. she thought it was changing from celexa to cymbalta that did it. probably the withdrawal from celexa.

but I love these dreams, even if they are scarier. theu're like dreaming movies to me. And I actually very rarely remember my dreams, so when I do it is a treat.

rera, I know about the not being fatigued thing. It will catch up with you, though. Every 3 or 4th day, I could sleep, but not sure if I did a full sleep cycle. This how our adrenals get burned out, I think. Since you're never fully asleep, I think cortisol is affected. Be careful of adrenal burn out.

I had strange, vivid and very disturbing dreams when I took Avelox very early on. My doc attributed it to bart and thought it could be a herx.

Many drugs deplete us of magnesium. If you are deficient you are more likely to have nightmares.

This product will knock your socks off!
