Good friends are like stars... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there!!!
Her chiro had us eliminate as much sugar, yeast containing foods, starches and hydrogenated oils from her diet (all lymies should avoid hydrogenated oil in my opinion, because it causes inflammation!).
She also put her on lactobacillus sporogenes (good bacteria). My daughter's waist went down majorly.
She went from bloated to trim and lost a couple of pounds.
The gut being out of balance(yeast overgrowth) can cause pain and many other symptoms.
My daughter has also had pain in her ab. We think it is maybe bladder spasms sometimes.
Have you considered maybe you have an ovarian cyst? I have had one myself (I don't have lyme). They are very PAINFUL!
Mine did cause the type of pain you describe.
Anyway this is only my opinion. I would check these out with your LLD. I hope something here helps.
Hope you feel better soon!
this is crazy but do you have to get nystatin powder thru a prescription???
dont see my new LLMD til mid June
what can i do now besides diet
will things like primal defense work???
i do have an appt with gyno on June 14
i already had a partial hysterectomy (sp?)
when i was like 25..( 32 now) due to cancer so i am alittle stressed about ovaries

i dont understand if a doctor has to order the test or even how much they cost????
lyme brain.....ugh
As to the bloating, my 15 year-old had had this problem for a year. Nothing fits her. She is doing month of fluconazole, adter a GI doctor did an endoscopy and found extensive yeast.
She has been diagnosed with "leaky gut" byt Great Smokies Lab. The chiropractor/nutritionist in our area checks for this at Great Smokies Lab, but it is not cheap. We found a doctor n Cambridge Mass, who is an expert on food allergies, yeast, leaky gut etc. Since we were referre to him by our PCP, all tests are covered. He also did metabolic analysis and stool analysis.
L_Glutamine and various herbs are easily available at any natural medicine store, and help to heal your gut lining too.
Good luck!
