Channel 5 did a segment on Lyme last night and this wasn't the first.
There were some inaccuracies, but they also touched on some good information. More correct than incorrest this time.
Here is the response I got from the station:
As you know...there's MUCH debate in the medical community about
issues--such as how long a tick needs to be attached to transmit disease
etc.
Everytime we do a segment, we hear from people who are passionate about
their own experience and researchers who have varying messages--all saying
their info is absolutely 100 percent correct.
But we certainly will keep at this topic. It couldn't be more important.
Thanks, again, for writing.
Please email them at the following address and ask them to continue reporting on it and to address the controversy. They are getting emails from researchers and they need to hear from us as well.
Thanks
I am so glad that they highlighted the DISGRACE over the inadequate medical response, treatment, and research for Lyme & tick bourne illnesses.
This is beyond disappointing, especially since Boston is arguably one of the finest cities in the world for medicine & medical research.
