1.If there weren't any co-infections would that person become infected?
2.Would the tick bite cause his current symptoms to flare up?
3.Will it make getting to remission even harder?
I don't know if this has happened to me. I walked in a park one weekend and about 5 days later my sx started flaring up.
It got real bad for about 4 days and then I started to feel better. Now I'm almost back to how I felt 2 weeks ago but not quite there yet.
I know there could be other explanations for what happened:yeast,sugar,toxins,etc...
Maybe I'm being paranoid...maybe not?
It seems like this nightmare will never end!
I relapsed with both bugs. The babesia got a firm foothold, which makes treating the lyme more difficult. We've been battleing the babesia ever since. I have WA1 rather than microti.
Speak with your doctor about retesting for the coinfections. For me they are the real trouble makers in being able to get to the lyme.
I was bitten two months ago and came down with the "flu" 9 days later. I'm still ailing somewhat and I even had the tick tested by Igenex for Lyme and babesia.{NEG}
So I'm not sure WHAT the tick might have left me this time!
Or was it really the flu and it caused the "old" Lyme and babesia to resurface? Who knows!
