Wow!

I need a vacation from myself, from sick kids and advocating for my son's educational rights, from searching for discounted meds for my kids, from my siezure, and muscle weakness and joint pain.....

Chronic systemic candida

Neuro Bb

Celiac Disease

There are more illness label words that I have, just can't deal right now.

And I can't think well, get tired often, get dizzy w/o notice. I can't open my house to folks down south...we are donating money we don't have...cuz we still have our home.

I'm so overwelmed!
[Frown]
I'm praying hard though! [Smile]

Achey,

Your post really touched me, and I mostly wanted to say my thoughts are with you.

The last time I had an incident wiht paralysis, I had a lot of muscle twitching and spasms, and I know how much both those things exhausted me.

I also had the same sadness about not being able to open my home to people from the Gulf. I had posted something about an available room, but as soon as I heard tonight that they've found e. coli in the water, I pulled the offer off the net. The LAST thing I need in my life right now is more bacteria!

Maybe you can think of something you can do that would make you feel a little more pampered or a little less overwhelmed...maybe a manicure or a massage. Baths always help me relax. Some bubbles, a little soft music, a nice long soak...
whatever works for you and isn't prohibitively expensive. For me, stress is a bugger with Lyme.

Just know you're in my thoughts!

Andie

Wow.....it seems like yesterday that I was so MUCH worse than I am today.

And...then I realize...I was healing....slowly...but always getting better...the whole time.

Yes....our burden is tremendous....but we must carry it.

I hope you can find a way to move it from your life on occassion...you deserve it.

God Bless,

Trout [Wink]

Hey Achey,
Being a fixer type guy, and you being a maternal instinct protector/nurser type woman like a lot of we lymies are...

We want to help others. However we may be more hinderance than help.

There are enough who are well that should and will pitch in and help.

We must dedicate ourselves to our own health so that some day we may be able to help others...or help others here on this board.

It's not selfish just a fact.

Do give yourself a break from everything though once in awhile...if you can.

God love ya and we're all here for you....we all get down once in awhile and we need picking up now and again...

so get up and feel better....as soon as you can...the cellar is no place to live....zman [Wink]

Andie, trout, and tonyz
Thank you!
I read your replies and cried.

you are all right!
I don't need more bacteria.

I can and will help others when am strong, like I used to before when I was less sick.

Yes, a trip out of the cellar is great! My darling hubby has been wonderful and holding my hand and providing opportunities for little joys. He's stressed and scared a lot too.

yes, I am getting better at a very slow pace, most of the time.

I'd love a manicure or massage...those are outlawed practices for me right now...internal and external toxins... But maybe a friends hottub and company this afternoon, if I don't melt down again today.

It's good to know there is a place where I don't have to explain what it's like...
Thanks for your love and prayers [Smile]

Achey,Trust me, we all would like to help..It rips my heart out to see the suffering that is happening to the people from the gulf coast, but I am doing what I can..We are all limited in some ways, so we can only do so much in our situations.

Beating yourself up over it will only make you less well..And these diseases are rough enough.. Doing what we can, when we can for the survivors is our best effort..

As for your current health issues, I was given a suggestion by Marnie about baking soda- epson salt baths..Probably not as good as a massage or hot tub but it is relaxing..She says a full 1 lb box of baking soda and a 4 lb box or bag of epson salt..Soak for 20 minutes..

I have tried using less of both ingred. and it does not seem to have the same effect..You will feel calmer and may even have some slight mental euphoria..

I tend to have some UTI issues and this also helps keep them at bay..Good luck. lymemomtooo

Gee, achey, I'm so sorry things are so rough right now. I've been there too, and yes, you will get better and get your life back. It may not be exactly the way it was before, but hopefully it will be enough so that life won't be such a struggle.

Thank goodness for a supportive husband. I think it's really scary for spouses too!

Take it easy and take good care of yourself! [Smile]

Hi Achey,
I am so sorry you are having such a time of it.
I once heard someone say sometimes the best way to help others is to take good care of ourselves.
Maybe a way to find some time for yourself to just set back and breath for awhile would be useful and pampering for you and helpful for your loved ones.
I believe prayer works and sending one out to all those who are in devastation and all those who are capable of helping them along with money, clothes, food and water has to be enough for now.
I send you the healing of your choice.
Blessings,
Marblenose [Wink]

Thanks Lymemom, L2, marblenose,

Things are starting to lighten up a bit tonight...I am so thankful!

Had a therapy session today, and that helped though I ended up with my left arm paralyzed for abt 3 hrs today.

I have an appt with an LLMD neuro on Fri. I've been anxious abt that. It's a 4-5 hr drive, and then all that new stuff, and money and just wish the guy was my neighbor instead...

I'll have to get some bakingsoda, and try that bath...thanks Lmom...

I have a new novel to read, so maybe it will give me a vacation. Love to you all! [Smile]

I'm sitting here crying reading all the profound things everyone has said.

Achey, please report back on your neuro appt as you and my hubby seem to be in just about the same boat neurologically speaking.

Sending rainbow thoughts out to you all.

Thanks for your reply Bea...

It's so amazing the effects of stress that lessen as I read and re-read each of your replies. The non-isolation is great.

Regarding neuro stuff, I read something interesting on the MDA website that made sense to me. It's abt periodic paralysis http://www.mdausa.org/disease/pp.cfm

It was like reading abt me...I'm going to ask nueor abt it...maybe there is more than LD going on. I hope this helps others, too [Smile]
