I've been taking nystatin for months and suddenly in that last few weeks I have gotten naseated after taking it. It doesn't matter if I eat toast (non-gluten) or eat oatmeal.

Yuck, what is the deal?

Liquid, powder, or tablets? If it's liquid [which contains sugar] and you're eating carbs, then maybe it's yeast??

tablets. I'll try eating an egg with it.

Reviving an OLD post (from 2005!) but I'm having this problem, too. Eating with food helps a little but sometimes it makes me nauseated no matter what.

Daughter has nausea with it too. Hope you feel better.

Have to stop it as only has taken two tablets and each time gets pain in temples and very dizzy.

I wonder if anyone has experienced temple pain and dizziness within a few minutes of taking the Nystatin tablets?

Probably from the DIE-OFF of killing the yeast. (COULD be from Nystatin itself .. but it is usually easy to tolerate)

If you're eating carbs with it, then you are creating MORE yeast which you then are KILLING off and creating MORE die-off.

It's a merry-go-round.

Could be the Nystatin, could be the die-off. Call and ask a pharmacist for advice.

most pharmacist don't know about lyme. I took a Difflucan the other night and thought I was going to die.

I had to try something gentler.

Try 1/2 Diflucan.

Pharmacists know about the drugs. They should know about candida die-off.
