I had very high levels of mercury in a urine challenge test (worked for a year as a dental asst. about 30 years ago, handling amalgam and mercury daily without protection)and have begun de-toxing with NAC and some other supp's. My doc is prescribing Chemet - which is extremely expensive even though it's taken 3 days on/11days off.

Has anyone taken this drug? Is it the same as generic DMSA? In the drug literature it seems to be saying that it is the same, if so, the generic would be much more affordable.

Thanks,
Nancy

I'm on it now. Ask your Pharmacist about the generic. Since it's FDA approved, my ins co covers it. Doing it with lots of chlorella and MSM.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question, but you raised a question for me!

I will eventually do the metals challenge. I'm too weak for DMSA now. I have been told to take NAC twice a day and alpha-lipoic acid once per day. I'm pretty much doing that, and, okay, this is embarrassing but we all do it, sometimes my poop smells like metal. I figured something was pulling metals.

So the NAC really is good for metals?

I am not familiar with Chemet. But am very familiar with DMSA.

Dr. K. who has been dealing with heavy metal detox for 20some years, with extremely chronically ill patients, many Lyme patients, does not use DMSA. He also does not use ALA or NAC. He considers all three dangerous because he has seen plenty of complications brought on by these meds. He has seen people become schidophrenic from DMSA and he has seen people and children with seizure disorders being triggered by these meds.

There are safer products available and very easy to use. I certainly have never used DMSA, neither has my husband and we are doing both very well.

I have posted on many occasions here about these products - and my doctor has several patients that had been treated by others, had problems with these meds and now have turned to him to fix it. Nothing is harder and more difficult than to get these metals out of the brain.

Just remember - this stuff is not an aspirin - !

Take care.

GiGI, when you say "safer" I assume you're referring to Cilantro + Chlorella?

Have you heard of patients who have not improved from ART and NT? Any idea what the success rate is?

Foggy,

"GiGI, when you say "safer" I assume you're referring to Cilantro + Chlorella?"

If you do not know in which part of the body the heavy metals are deposited and where they are still sitting after you have worked with detox,
it is difficult to decide which agent to use. Chlorella is safe because it is really not a detox agent. I give it to my grandchild. Babies get chlorella smoothies. Babies born after mother has been on chlorella are usually healthy babies and have a great headstart. Look at the description that I have posted about Chlorella.

If you still have heavy metals in the gut or any other compartments, cilantro is not the right agent either. Cilantro is a late agent - when the body in general is already cleaned up of metals. You don't want to stir up the metals in the gut or in your knee joint with cilantro and take them to the brain. Y ou want to clean the body out first and then give other agents that will not find anything in the body to take to the brain anymore.

It is therefore very important to have a doctor that can identify where the metals are sitting. ART does that very well, as does a doctor who is experienced in this field. Then apply the proper agent and the metals can be moved into the direction wanted - out of the body.
Many agents, such as NAC or ALA are not safe in that regard. They can, if at all, only be used as a late agent. This aspect of DMSA, ALA, NAC, etc. is why Dr. K. does not like these agents as a rule.

This is all confirmed by research and if you start to look around, you will find it. Dr. VS of MELISA has done this research for many years and we know that there is an absorption of everything through mucosa. The research has been done in Japan. Dr. K. has treated heavy metal toxic people for ages, when no one else talked about it as a health problem.

To answer your question, I would not even take cilantro tincture without the approval of a knowledgable doctor. Eating cilantro in a salad etc. does not have this effect. It has to have gone through heat in order to release the agent. It should only be used as a late agent in the detoxing process. And using cilantro while still with amalgam fillings is not a good idea either.

There are other methods applying cilantro dermally. But I really do not want to get into this here. People have a way to just read what they want to hear. And every single person needs to address these problems in a different way. If you can fix these problems yourself, or with the aid of a doctor who is guessing at it, it will be miraculous.

Foggy, you asked:

"Have you heard of patients who have not improved from ART and NT? Any idea what the success rate is?"

Yes, if people come when they are on their last
leg, I have met some that passed on. Dr. K. is not God. People that are not willing to change their way of life, often do not improve. People who have enough organ damage -- have enough organ damage not to survive. Detoxing is hard work for the body. Most people totally overlook that reality.

On the other hand, I have met many who live a perfectly happy healthy life after treatment where ART and of course NT (neural therapy) is always a part of all. I recently met the fellow who battled Alzheimers now some 15 years ago and wrote a book about it (Beating Alzheimer's Disease
by TW) - was detoxed and treated by Dr. K. way years ago with what was then the early form of ART. He is now an older gentleman and doing very well, with no signs of Alzheimers.

I hear from many - some that just started and feel their improvement - some that have regained their total health.

Success rate - is a big word. In this business you do not brag, you do not drive fancy cars, you have no money, you do not live in a mansion, and you live the simple life. You do not tell a patient that mercury might be toxic; most of all, you don't dare suggest to remove any mercury fillings. All is too tough on the medical license.

You do your thing, you do your best, you do it day and night with an open mind, and hope that you discover a quicker and even better way to help people get well. Above all, you hope to keep your brain and body healthy when surrounded by so much misery. We forget what these doctors have to go through to be able to stay on course.

Sorry if I cannot give you a more satsifying answer. For certain, you get ten practitioners in one room and everyone of them will have a different idea. What works - that's what counts. Results.

Take care.

selenium-bound yeast, and perhaps, other forms of selenium should be helpful, but it will take much, much longer(year(s),and its a lot safer.

doing this diligently, you should notice a difference in mercury symptoms after three to 6 months.

Try "detox foot pads" available on ebay and through other internet sources. They are about $1 per pad (start with ten, 1 per foot for five days). If you do not see improvement then you are the one exception!

These detox pads are completely safe (unless maybe you have an allergy to bamboo). I have used them and one of my daughters has used them and we both agree they are very helpfull!

We bought 100 of them and are going to get others to try them.
