I've been missed diagnosed for 10 years. If not for
all here I wouldn't have improved. Been researching for 2 yrs. I am better had breakthrough 2 months ago. The deep seated burning ache in the center of my head that was constant for 10 yrs. left me 2 months ago. Without it I am and feel different and confused. Arthritis worse though. Suppose the pain just dropped down to joints. I started colostrum from health food store week ago. I have had herxes but tons of energy. Feel like new. Now studying colostrum and specific transfer factor for lyme. It's expensive. Wandering if anyone has tried it or researched it.

Hi Spookydew.
I empathize, since I was mis-dx'd twice, for a total of 18 yrs. with no treatment.
I have been taking New Life Colostrum Plus Lactoferrin for about a month and a half now.
I herxed on it the first three weeks, and had to back the dose off, but now am fine with it. I do not take the full dose because I can't afford it with all the other supps. I take.

The degree of hexing seems to have lessened, and most importantly, I was bitten by a fire ant two weeks ago and did not have an allergic reaction, for the first time ever! That could mean that the Colostrum really is working to rebalance my immune system like it claims to.

Since rebalancing the dysregulated immune system so it can keep Borrelia in check on it's own has to be the ultimate goal, IMO, I think Colostrum is worth trying. If it works, it could be one of the most important things we do, since what I've read says no ABX will kill more than 85% of the pathogen. Pushing the immunesystem away from TH2 toward TH1 immunity, which is what Colostrum is supposed to do, should make your body more inhospitable to Borrelia.

Alot of folks have tried it, but I haven't heard any raving reviews on it like yours! Thanks for sharing that! I hope it continues.

Could you tell us which brand you bought?

PS....You can bring up past discussions on it by clicking on the little word "search" above.

Hi,

I have been taking Colostrum on and off for about 6 months now. I like it a lot. I feel it gives me energy and when I remember to take it regularly, I feel much better overall.

I take the New Life version too. I like the fact that they guarantee that the calf gets it's fair share of colostrum and they don't take it all. I also like the fact that it's from NZ where the polution hasn't overrun the place yet.

I never herxed from it. I just have better endurance and don't pay such a high price for exerting myself.

Lately I've forgotten to take it again. Thanks for reminding me. I'll start again tonight.

Take care,

Corgilla

I take olympian labs incorporated, 1000mg caps, 2 in am and 2 at 3pm. It can interfere with sleep if taken later. Health food store colostrum is pooled from hundreds up to a thousand dairy cows. Chances of getting specific transfer factors for lyme are like hitting the lottery. But you get lots of antibodies and increased ability to kill bugs yourself. I am interested in specific trans. factors for lyme but cost 3-$400.00. Also interested in history of health benefits. I read somewhere that in olden days, farmers rubbed the blood of the ill person on the udders prior to birthing, then the ill drank the colostrum.
