Can babesia cause tremors... I know this is a lyme symptom. If so, how common is it?

Yup. Tremors were one of my worst symptoms with Babs. It got so bad that my head would shake when I was tired. I took Klonopin to get through meetings so people wouldn't freak out by the tremors. Unfortunately, over time, the Klonopin made things worse because I was depending on it. It's a catch 22. You need to treat the Babs and ride out the tremors by trying to relax. Meditation and yoga have helped me.

According to hubby's LLMD, Dr C in Missouri, the tremors could be caused by either Lyme, Babesia or Bartonella -- there is no way to know which one is the cause.

This is an ongoing problem for hubby for 5 years now -- somewhat controlled by IV Ativan -- multiple daily doses for last 3 years.

Tremors/myoclonus are generally exacerbaterd by any type of treatment -- herbs, antibiotics, colloidal silver, IV magnesium, etc etc -- regardless of which infection he is trying to treat.

IV magnesium will help with fine tremors usually but the 24/7 (24 hours a day/7 days a week) type of tremors only respond to IV antibiotics AFTER the herx or to IV phosphatidylcholine (the Kane protocol).

This is something I've experienced wtih Bartonella. I'm now treating that with rifampin and have definitely seen a decrease in that awful symptom.
