I recently had a 10-day cleanse with a liver cleanse on the 6th day...also a neighbor of mine built me the framework for an infrared lamp sauna...the frame is pcv pipe and cardboard and old quilt for enclosing...my lyme theory for 06 is to let the anti-biotics kill the little devils and then i will detox with these two plans. anyone else tried either?? once again i say, good evening to all.....bartonella blues.

I don't want to rain on your sauna parade but...I really think you should be careful about the choice of materials. There is a reason that PVC pipe is not used in hot water plumbing or as supply for that matter. It outgasses when heated. Someone else on this forum complained of getting very toxic from PVC floor mats that her health club had in their sauna. Also, cardboard has glue in it that might also outgas when heated.
I'm just telling you this so that you will be careful, not trying to upset you. Take care.

Yikes the sauna at my gym has a big, thick, blue plastic-type mat on the floor.
Is this not good?
It's the same kind of mat they have in the locker room to prevent people from slipping on the wet floor.

Please be careful when building your own sauna. PVC not a good idea, cardboard isnt either. You can make your own out of infrared heat lamps, mount them on a board with a thermometer and power cord and put it in a small closet in your house. You can also make one out of solid pine wood (usually cedar, yes) about 4X4X5 and make a door for it. I covered mine with blankets to keep the heat in and have ventillation too, it cooks up to 140 degrees in there! Make sure your wood doesnt have glue in it like plywood and you aren't exposing yourself to more toxins. happy sweating!
When doing colonics, don't do too many or you will flush out all your beneficial bacteria.

==About 15% of people will hav strong allergic reaction to pine's volatile pitch. Pine will off-gas VOC's (volatile organic compounds) when heated and could be more flamable than even cardboard given turps (pitch) flash point.
Sauan's are always western cedars, and prefferably hemlock.fir. Most of the FAR saunas are using poplar or hemlock. Low odor woods.

Over on lymestrategies someone posted on how to make your own, but different from what U are saying. Sounded really easy if not too brainfogged. It was a couple of days ago. At the moment my brain won't let me remember who posted it. Check it out. J
