Does anyone have any recommendaions for a protocol to treat both lyme and babesia at the same time? I don't want either one to go untreated while treating the other. I'm currently on amoxi for lyme and mep/zith for babs.

800 mg of ketek and 2-4 tsp of mepron per day is commonly prescribed- will cover lyme and babs

Review Dr. B's protocol and Dr. K's protocols. See my site below, Protocols. Ketek can be a very difficult drug with 1-2 month herxes. So, review all your options. Mepron is good, but I would also take Artemisinin at 600mg per day or as suggested in the Dr. K protocol.

Hi Azure,

Yes. Ketek is the next generation of Zithromycin. It's medical name is Telithromycin and is being used to treat Babs when taken along with Mepron.

Yes to quinine, maybe lariam, fansidar, riamet, malarone. No to chloroquine or plaquenil, as they cause drug resistance.

Has anyone tested positive for babs, treated, then tested negative? Or the reverse, tested negative, treated, then tested positive?
