I was wondering if any other Lymies had this. Apparently it is a fungal infection. I have spots showing up on my skin that contain no pigment. It started with one spot and then lately I have been getting more and more spots.
My LLMD was the one who finally dxd this as being a fungal infection. So I am just wondering, if maybe other people have had this too? I know I'm open to infection since my immune system is obviously compromised, but wondered if this was more common in people with Lyme.

So what are you doing about it if anything? Does this get treated with antifungal topically or something?

I think you mean tinea versicolor. Tinea versicolor doesn't present as spots of bleeched skin. Versicolor looks slightly raised, red, and scaly and under a black light it would be a yellowish green color.
I think you might be referring to vitiligo. It is a skin condition that appears as white or bleeched out patches.

I have them . A cluster of about two dozen on my left rib cage the size of peas. Been there for years now. Slighty raised. I had one biopsied a few years ago, benign and probably vitaglio.

Hmmm, interesting. Mine aren't raised at all, they are just small spots of skin that are completely without pigment.
I asked my LLMD (and ranted about turning into Michael Jackson, thinking vitiligo) and was told it was TV and that topical antifungals are commonly prescribed but really don't work that well and that if I went on an antifungla now it would be too hard on my system so we're going to wait.
