As I type this, I am still in disbelief. My husband came home today and handed me a piece of paper that said that the military base we were assigned to had determined that there is not adequate resources to treat my medical condition. Soooooooooooo, we are NOT being moved to Louisiana. We get to stay in D.C. until at least June!

It turns out that the arrogant, condescending ID doctor didn't factor into the equation and the request of my LLMD was what made the difference! I can't believe it. They are letting us stay near my LLMD for another year.

I want to thank you all who sent me names of doctors in LA and gave me support and suggestions. The other person in the room must have listened to my explanation of the two standards of care, etc. and noted that along with the notes from my LLMD.

A victory for us Lymies!!! Someone listened!

Wow! What wonderful news for you and your family!

Wouldn't it be a great day when we could be sure that someone with Lyme could get good care where ever they went?

I am so happy for you that you get to stay here (I live in Virginia) longer.

Who knows? You might be able to stay here many more years.

Take care.
