I am desperate here. Docs cannot figure out what is wrong with my stomach/digestive system. it has eluded them for four years now. Half of the docs say I have GERD, the other half says I do not. Half want to yank out my GB, the other half says NO.

I am in pain every day. I have constant upper right quadrant abdominal pain, chest pain, hoarseness, throat clearing, gas and bloating, and sour stomach.

I think maybe a detox may help. I looked at the Colonix product, but am a bit skeptical of something that makes rubbery-looking stuff come out of your body!

Does anyone know anything about Colonix or have a suggestion for a good digestive system cleansing product or natural routine?

Thank you so much for your help.

Before you do it, read this:

http://quackfiles.blogspot.com/2004/12/mucoid-plaque-dubious-idea.html

Here's an excerpt from the article about mucoid plaque:

"No real professionals in the field of medicine (such as gastroenterologists, pathologists, and medical students) find this stuff during operations, autopsies, or when studying cadavers. In fact, none of them use the term at all, since it is unknown in medical science. Of course Anderson and his salesmen, and those whom they have convinced, claim that all the medical people and all scientists are too dumb to find it. That's a totally off the wall idea. No one with an IQ above 60 would really believe that weird claim."

Check with REAL people that you can trust about their results. Watch out for PLANTS that join different groups to propogate the sales of their products.

I used a product called Colon Cleanse from "herbal healer academy" (A company I used for a long time and trust)

The cost is 21.95 for something like 250 pills as you take 6 or more a day.

Worked good - the first week I noticed alot of brown rubbery stuff and the gas and bloating did go away and or got better.

Just finished my second week and bowels are looking more normal now.

Google it.

HI,

Have you tried Questran?? It helped me keep off lyme for about a year before I knew I had Lyme. My symptoms were 100% stomach related. Liver pain, gastrities, stomach pain etc..etc.

Anyways, I sometimes combined it with physlum hush powder. I seemed to really clean up all "toxic crap" that was tearing apart my insides.

good luck,

calilyer

Hi Vachick -

Sorry you feel so badly. I have had a lot of gastro distress with lyme and coinfections. When your digestion isn't working you just have no chance of feeling well.

I was desperate last week because the doxycycline that normally eases the pain wasn't for me.

I ordered the Colonix. It should be here this weekend or the beginning of next week. I will let you know what I think although I probably won't be taking it for another month.

I found what looked like a tapeworm in my poop. So, I started taking 'Paragone' from Renew Life last week.

So far I have passed what look like vermicelli a few times. My abdominal pain that was wandering all over the place is gone. So is my acid reflux, my severe fatigue, and rectal pain and swelling.

Sorry to be so graphic but I was in misery.

I do think I herxed on a colon cleansing fiber supplement as well that I was taking. It turned out that two of the herbs in it were antibacterial and antimalarial. I had two migraines and shoulder pain like I have never had before for twenty four hours. Interesting.

Anyway, I would try a cleanse of some sort. I have been scoped from both ends and it was never suggested to me to do any cleanses or that parasites could cause my issues. I was a big sushi fan but I think I will be dialing back on that real soon for awhile.

I hope you feel better soon.

until the 1950's, many physicians practiced with the goal of HEALING disease by focusing on ridding the body of what they called "morbid matter".
their patients got well, and did not require expensive procedures and ongoing symptom treating drugs.

this is an age old medical concept, and you don't have to be a scientist to understand it.

it will be another 100 years before western med docs will come full circle to recognize and treat this way in the mainstream, if they ever do.

you can't see mucoid plaque with a colon scope -
because it looks like the wall of the colon.
when you see the stuff coming out of you, and you understand digestion - the most simple explainations make simple sence.
and you feel better, and you never look at things the same way again.

i have heard the dr. nutriva (i think that's colonix?) is a good place to start.

Interesting Mo - Deciding to start closing that circle of understanding a bit faster for myself...can't wait for Western M.D.s to catch up.

I think it really is going to be my key for getting well from this stuff! ;0)

Thank you all for your replies. I have heard of Colon Cleanse and Questran. I will research those, too.

Lymied, please let me know if the product works for you. You sound like you have similar issues to mine.

Has anyone ever tried a colonic? I am a bit frightened of that...

Posted by Ladylee210 (Member # 9945) on :

Nothing to be scared of with colonic's.

For me I went on a 3 day fast (started on a Friday) under a chiropractors supervision as he had me ONLY drink this vitamin drink for the 3 days and off I went on Monday.

No cramps - it was great and it did improve my health

vachick...I didn't read all the responses. Have your drs considered gluten intolerance or Celiac disease?

Sometimes the tests come back negative. Sound familiar??

www.celiac.com

Also, I loved the Dr Natura cleanse. It's simple and doesn't taste bad either.

www.drnatura.com

You can always try eating gluten free and see what happens. You have to eliminate EVERY single source of gluten.

Have you tried the acid reflux meds?

Posted by vachick (Member # 8353) on :

Ladylee, where did you have your colonic done?

Lymetoo, they did test me for Celiac (did a biopsy) and it was negative. I have tried to go off of gluten for a while but don't remember what happened. I could try again I guess.

I have been on every PPI/stomach med imaginable (Nexium, Pepcid, Axid, Protonix, Prilosec, Prevacid, Carafate, etc), but not really worked. My reflux happens right after I eat, and my chest pain is 24/7!

I had my colonic her in NJ at a wellness center.

I believe if you do a search in your state you might find one.

Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :

Va...sometimes they MISS. They missed mine a long time ago. And if you weren't eating tons of wheat/gluten at the time, it could also show negative.

Good luck with this!! I hope they figure it out soon!

Having done several colon cleanses over a number of years, Colonix is by far the most successful for me and for most of my friends. I learned about it here from a post. I do it repeatedly, even though I have long rid myself of Lyme. And it is sooooo simple.

I could send you a photograph of exactly the type of thing shown in the photo by the quackbuster. It is for real. I can send you more of everyone of my friends who have done these cleanses. Most Western diets leave this stuff as residue. The first time I saw a piece of this rubbery zig-zag ropes, I thought I would try to cut it with a razor blade. I couldn't.

Behind and in between the folds of this rubbery stuff hide the vermicelli that is mentioned by Lymied. These are actually ascaris - the worms - look it up. They look like bundles of spaghetti!

Anyone doubting that we carry this type of burden around is welcome as far as I am concerned to keep holding on to it. The larvae of these worms and parasites are also in the brain as evidenced by a researcher/personal friend at a Germany university.

Whenever too many others come to dinner, you will only get what is left. Read the book by Gittelson

If you have a problem now, start very slowly. Colonics help immensely to get a good start. But that is as anti school med as a lot of other alternative choices. So you have to make up your own mind.

All health starts in the gut, as well as the teeth. Neurotransmitters are not made in the brain - they are made in the gut. If things are disturbed there, a lot in the rest of the body is not right either.

As a note about these loud noisemakers - these Quackbusters:

Did you know that in the 1840's the first dentists that used mercury in the US (or quicksilver in German) were called the Quacks! The Quacks got into an argument with the opposing side who did not agree with the use of mercury or quicksilver. The Quacks formed the American Dental Association back then. Today, the bio- dentists and doctors who understand the many negatives of mercury and remove it are called the Quacks. That's how the world changes. The quackbusters quack until the quacks lose their license!

Use your own good judgement.

And if you have gut problems, I highly recommend Cultured Vegetables -- that is an excellent start to get you back on the road to wellness. Go to www.getintobalance.com and
www.bodyecology.com. Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates is a superb book. Check out www.westonaprice.org - there is lots to learn ---- all helpful when sick. Things you do not read in the newspaper.

Good luck to you. You will make it.

Take care.

Vachick,I am on day 9 of the colonix cleanse. I have suffered from constipation for most of my life. And not surprising, very frequent headaches for several years.

It has only been a little over a week, but I am now head ache free. And I agree with GiGi, strange things are starting to come out!

Time will tell, but so far, I'm impressed with this product.

Posted by Ladylee210 (Member # 9945) on :

Ok...so how much is this product?

And are any of you taking others things along with it...like your meds and acidph. (sp) ?: and does this clease take those things out too?

or do you need to stop everyhting until your clease is over?

Posted by Lymied (Member # 6704) on :

It is $88 for one month worth for the colon cleansing, parasite cleanse and some cleansing tea.

I am not sure how much it is if you just order the colonix by itself.

As far, as your other questions Ladylee, I am not sure if it is safe to take with other pharmaceuticals. I am going to try it on its own so I can get a clear picture of what it is doing to my body.

Thanks for the info. Gigi and nice to know that I am not the only one suffering from vermecelli syndrome ;0)

Ok, if this doesn't make everyone want to do a parasite cleanse I don't know what will...YIKES!

So far nothing that large has been the result of my cleanse.

UGH!

Yikes is right ....my kids are in the back round wondering what the heck I was watching...lol

It's amazing tho just how pink one's inside is and then you wonder where is all that dark rubbery kinda stuff that does come out when one does a cleanse???? [bonk]

Great information from all of you. I honestly feel that the key to feeling better lies in the gut so I am desperately trying to fix it.

My new husband is probably wishing he hadn't married someone so sick...he deserves someone healthy! I just don't know if I am ever going to be that person. I know you all know how that feels.

I am grateful for all of your advice and knowledge.

Colonix is a good alternative to P&B shakes (fiber shakes) if you want to start colon cleansing. There are other products like OxyPowder and Almighty Cleanse that you might want to consider too, btw. In other words, do some research before deciding to buy Colonix...

Some tips to keep in mind while cleansing:
1. Do regular rebounding
2. Try to get an enema or colonic done once a week
3. Drink a lot of water (no coffee or tea)

Here's a review of all the major colon cleansers if you're interested:
