So I decided Im not eating carbs at all anymore.
Sick of feeling sick for years now.

Its not worth the small amount of pleasure that I get from the carbs on my tounge.


That being said, Im eating eggs every day for breakfast. 3 eggs.

My LLMD Dr. S didnt have much to say about it.
He mentioned once about cholesterol but not again.

If you do a search for it people are saying that eggs are loaded with cholesterol and all that stuff.

Isint eating this way healthier then eating the carbs then?


I also read some doctors say that eating the same thing every day isint good for you. Most americans it seems do this. They eat wheat every day, dairy. etc.

What to do what to do??????????????????????????

When my llmd had me go no carbs, he said 3 eggs was fine for breakfast. We do need chloresterol. I don't eat sausage or bacon, far worse for us than 3 eggs. I get antibiotic free eggs. A good choice if you eat them every day. If you know the person raising the chickens, ask if the feed has meat-by-products or not. Chlosterol in eggs is lower if hens don't eat meat.

I often make extra vegtables the night before and top a bowl of them with the eggs for breakfast. It is important to increase your vegtable intake to balance your ph.

Remember no carbs completely isn't forever. I don't know where you are in your treatment, but I did no caarbs completely post abx and diflucan. I had tremendous improvement in 3 weeks. It was many more weeks before I would take more than a bit or two of brown rice or potatoes. Wheat is my worst issue and if I stay away from that I have no pain or other symptoms. Although I ate some cake on Thanksgiving without pain the next few days. Actually, the cake tasted "bad" to me. My taste buds seem to be turning me away from wheat.

"We" act as if not eating white flour and bad fat is a hardship. These things are just plain bad for us and should not be mourned.

Good luck with going carb free- days 3-4-5- are the WORST!

There has actually been some research suggesting eating the whole egg does not have a bad effect on cholesterol. There is something in the white that helps your body process the cholesterol in the yolk. Of course, those studies were probably paid for by the egg industry [Smile]

If you are worried about cholesterol, get your cholesterol checked annually. Mine actually did go up while I was on the anti-yeast diet, and I probably did eat unhealthy amounts of fat on the diet. As I had been a vegeterian, so was happily enjoying steaks and bacon for the first time in 14 years.

But three eggs a day are probably ok, if you aren't covering them in cheese, eating them with sausage and bacon, and drinking a glass of chocolate milk.

for some reason im not thinking about chorlesterol. I think marnie said that the choloestrol is there in excess to protect us from either Mercury or falling Mg levels.

In any case Im worried about food allergies.

It seems that I have very bad odour and chemical sensitivities. I get red eyes, post nasal drip, vertigo(extreme) tiredness, soreness. All this from airbore chemicals. Especially mold.

With food I have a tought time eating any sugars or carbs now. I used to be able to take 1-2 bowls of oatmeal a week with no problems. THen I had it 2 then 3 days in a row. Deveoloped gas , tiredness, burning pains. etc.....

Sugar is the worse, i look like IM drunk and stoned except im not smiling. I get burning stabbing pains in my feet and my skin on the rest of my body feels like sunburn. Get really depressed too.


So whats a lymie insaine nut to do.????


EAT NUTS, thats what ive been doing.

almonds
cashews
pine nuts
peppers
onions
chicken
fish, not fried
eggs, eggs, eggs,
butter
a little non dairy creamer.
water, water, water,


This is now. Before I would sneak in chocolate and oatmeal with butter and splenda. hmm thought I could get away with that one. This must feed the yeast/lyme too!!!!!!!!!!


I learned the hard way.

If you are concerned about food allergies, a food rotation diet is a good way to prevent new allergies.

I love eggs, my body must crave the chloestrol. However, I limit myself to eggs every third day so I don't develop an allergy. I rotate all foods in this way, makes it hard to eat, did I have a cucumber in my salad yesterday, well then I can't put it in my juice today [dizzy]

I know this will not be popular, but I read somewhere that nuts harbor molds.

When I eat them, I often do not feel well after. My husband can eat them, but he is also not exhibiting LD sx.

They are also a bit difficult to digest. Some people sprout the nuts and seeds which make them more digestable. However, it still doesn't take care of the possible mold problem.

Eggs are great, but I agree that rotating might be better. Is there a good protein drink you can purchase?

I liked putting protein powder in coconut milk along with a banana and some blueberries and allow it to freeze slightly (or just banana and cinnamon). BUT there is a slight anti-microbial effect from the coconut milk (has lauric acid)and so I sometimes herx on it. Might start with a small amount, and pay attention. The fat in the coconut milk scares some people away.

I also eat a lot of avocados and consider them my carb substitute. But again, perhaps not everyone can tolerate the fat content.

Peanuts harbor mold. The others should be fine.

Cholesterol isn't the main cause of heart disease anyway, so don't worry about that.

Why aren't you eating green vegetables like broccoli and green beans?

You're right...the main "fear" would be developing an allergy to the eggs.

Hi all

When I first started a No carb diet
I was eating 4 to 6 eggs aday because
I did not know what else to eat--

There are several good candida recipe
books that have lots of good healthy
and satisfing meals in them--

This is one of my favotites
is Chicken Cor do Blu--

Dont use Aged cheese (mold)--

Chicken salid is a good one too --
use fresh veggies if possiable--

One thing I did when I was to sick to
make food for myself --
I would order food delierved from a
local Chiniese resterent--

Get chicken dishes that are not breaded-
Throw away the rice --

It is also good to switch up the meals
you eat- because yeast can modifie its
self to to be able to eat perty much
anything if given a chance to --

Also it is better to eat several small
meals rather than fewer larfer ones-Jay--

A low natural animal fat diet is very bad for the body. Animal fats fuel the immune systems, brain, and other important organs...

You cannot change your cholesterol by what you eat. Cholesterol only comes from the liver. The cholesterol levels is set by demand of body. Low cholesterol equals high cancer risk or what ever bug happens along..
Starving your body of cholesterol using drugs is a nasty way to kill or cripple the body....

Yes stopping carbs will improve your health especially stopping junk (man made) carbs like candy, sodas, donuts, cakes, pancakes, bagels, corn syrup, white bread, cereals and most things at the bakery.

Dr. Mercola is reporting that high fruitose corn syrup is a very nasty man made chemical that damages the pancreas insulin regulator.

Most bakery foods and sodas have this garbage for sweetners... The diet sweetner aspertame is very dangerous also...

The sweet tooth is just a habit. The stuff I listed is nothing but toxic waste...

Get rid of all veggie cooking oils (transfats). Use coconut, olive, peanut, oils and butter to cook with. Never use spray can cooking oils..

Best breakfast is all the eggs you want, bacon or ham. For a hard day ahead, I like to add one piece of high grain toast buttered (real butter) and some home fries I make with a boiled potato fried in coconut oil.. I cook everything with coconut oil..

Coconut oil is really good for the immune system..

This will fuel up your body for the day and ward off the urge for junk snaks durning the day...

Ignore the diet food and low fat hucksters, they want your money and don't give a hoot if you live or die...

Remember when your body needs something it will cause a hunger response, and hope that you have sense enough to give it what it needs instead of toxic waste..

You must educate yourself on how the body works and what it needs... No excuse with web access. Tons of info out there...

Remember: All plagues are preceded by famine. If you create a famine for your body expect to catch the plague!

By the way I do eat green beans, brussel sprouts.

Broccoli I like, Ill have to see if that makes me gassy though.

Finally found the resource for the 'moldy' nut issue. Actually, the problem is that nuts deteriorate and can become rancid relatively quickly after shelled. Perhaps that is why we see them in the refrigerated section in health food stores.

So the problem may have been in the wording... mold vs rancidity.

This information comes from 'Healing With Whole Foods' by Paul Pitchford. It was a fairly popular book that came out several years ago. I noticed that many of the practitioners I was seeing had it on their shelves. See pages 530-531.

I won't list all of the reasons, he lists, because... it it somewhat long. You can PM me if needed.

But he does suggest soaking nuts overnight for easier digestibility and then roasting (lightly) which he says helps reduce rancidity and cuts down oil, which also helps with digestion.

I really like lightly roasted sunflower seeds with a little sea salt. But I can only eat them in small amounts due to weak digestion.

Please regard this only as "Food for Thought" (I guess literally, too). Some people have stronger digestions (like my husband) and do fine. Just wanted you to know about possible problems.

By the way I noticed another consequence of eating nuts beside mold.

I ate so much yesterday that they cut up my gums and I had bleeding gums from them.

UHH,, I flossed and all this debirs came out and then they were worse from the irritation of the floss.

Now I know to eat slow.

Here is a direct quote from Pitchford's book:

"Rancidity causes irritation to the linings of the stomach and intestines."

It might not be a far stretch to include the inside of the mouth? Not sure... it does not bother my husband. But thought I would point that out, anyway. We are all so different.

Try the roasting method and see if you get the same results. Always good to experiment.
