Hi everyone,

Lately, I have had burning in my hands and feet only when I am sleeping. During these episodes I also have the sweats.

Since I have been on babesia meds since mid june, I am thinking this is a lyme symptom. My llmd put me on mino which is making me feel drunk all the time, but he claims this will help with the inflammation.

I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Savebabe-When I was on the rifampin, I had a horrible burning sensation (only at night) in my whole body. That was for bart. Now I am on malarone for babs, my sweats are better, but my l foot still burns. I have no idea what it's from!

I've had total body burning, 24/7, for over four years since the tick bite. The Lyme medications (oral and IM) have only somewhat improved the burning but by no means reduced it enough.

Bartonella treatment seems to make everything go haywire with me, from improving to worsening. So I'm guessing in me, Bart is a big issue.

Haven't done Babs treatment yet.

Jill

I just started mino a week ago, so maybe that is what is kicking the bart around?

Has anybody else taken mino to hit bart?

Thanks everyone.

My new LLMD wanted to put me on a nerve medication for the burning. I have not done well on most of the nerve meds I have used in the past, so I am passing on it for now.

The burning and night sweats come in phases with me. I don't just have the burning at night though.

I am not sure if it is the herxing or what, b/c I had it prior to treatment. Although, it has been a little less frequent since I started my ABX again. It comes in waves.

I was never tested for Babs, so I really can't say if it is one, the other or both.
