I can not find coptis , except in tincture , or in combination with other herbs . I also found it sold in bulk , but I do not want to buy a pound until I think I can tolerate it .

Has anyone here found a place where it can be sold in capsules or tablets?
Thanks ann

Ann:
I got mine in bulk from 1st Chinese Herbs. However, IF you call Sarah there, she is very helpful and PROBABLY can find it for you.

Jim.

By the way, where does the coptis recommendation come from- is it part of a Lyme doc's protocol?

(just trying to learn more)

The two Seven Forest formulas that I took
were Forsythia 18 and Isatis 6.

Forsythia 18:

Forsythia 8%, Lonicera 8%, Platycodon 7%,
Chrysanthemum 7%, Schizonepeta 6%,
Gardenia 6%, Cnidium 6%, Scute 6%, Peony 5%,
Bupleurum 5%, Siler 5%, Tang-Kuei 5%,
Arctium 5%, Vitex 5%, Phellodendron 5%, Coptis
4%
, Licorice 4%, Myrrh 2%

Isatis 6:

Isatis 25%, Hu-chang 15%, Prunella 15%,
Oldenlandia 15%, Andrographis 15% ,
Lonicera 15%

We took 9/day of each formula (700 mg. tabs)
so our intake of

Andrographis= 945 mg/day
Coptis = 252 mg/day

This amount of each herb mixed in with the
two formulas never seemed to cause a problem.

Herbs used to combat LEPTOSPIROSIS in China:

*Isatis leaf,*Isatis root, Smilax,*Gardenia
*Andrographis,*Hu-chang,*Coptis, Chien-li-kuang
*Scute, Verbena,*Phellodendron, Sanguisorba
*Forsythia, Ching-hao

If you take the two Seven Forest formulas then
you get *8 known anti-spirochete herbs .
In addition, Smilax or Sarsaparilla has been
discussed quite a bit, and Chinng-hao you may
recognize as Artemisia.

As a rule of thumb, we never took Artemesia
or Artemisinin at the same time as the Seven
Forest Formulas.

The Artemesia seemed to combat Lyme better
than the Artemisinin, but that is a subjective
conclusion.

There are several online sources for the
Seven Forest Herbal Formulas. It is recommended
that you buy them from an ND, acupuncturist, or
knowledgeable practitioner.

I am wanting to try coptis because it is related to goldenseal and has berberine, an antiinfective ingredient . Goldenseal helped me ENORMOUSLY with a nasty chest infection.

Jimbob says it was the most potent herb by far that he had taken . I had a bad reaction to andrgraphis, but hated to stop it because it gave killer herxes and I felt it could really be a helper . Unfortunately , I could not taste my food , sleep , or have a " cheery " outlook
( translation : I felt depressed as H-ll ) .

I would like to try coptis , but do not really want to buy a POUND in case it causes side effects like the andrographis .

Fortunately , for most people here , the andro
causes no problems and many are posting that they see real benefits .

JWF,
JimBob also felt that the ARTEMESIA was more beneficial for lyme than the artimisinin .

Thanks for sharing this . I may try the formula , though I am somewhat reluctant after having some problems ( unlike everyone else )
with andrographis . Maybe the andro in this combo is not the concentrate and is easier to tolerate .

JWF I am glad to read that you have had so much progress with herbs. Were you ill very long before starting the herbs? Did you take ABX before ( for a long time ) before the herbs? Have you also added rife to your regimen?

Thanks for sharing!

Hi Ann,

Lyme disease: 1 1/2 years
then 30 days low dose doxy

Neuroborreliosis was not good.

Morgellons onset: 1 yr. 3 months
from Lyme infection

Good description here: A Living Hell

No change with doxy; no surprise.

Lyme and Morgellons symptoms gone
within 3 years of Lyme infection.

No rife, just a lot of zapping. I
built several models, different
frequencies; tried a tens unit, etc.

We think the herbs made the difference.

Would do the same again, given that we
would still be fooled by the misinforma-
tion given out by the CDC/IDSA that ticks
have to remain on you for days for a
Lyme infection and that deer ticks are
the only menace on the East Coast.

Our infections came from nymph dog ticks
in less than 5 hours.

Morgellons is known to be a tenacious nightmare , so if the herbs fixed this , they must be powerful in combination. Thanks for sharing . This will help more people who need alternatives .

Ann:
I didn't say the Artemisia HELPED my with LYME a lot more than Artemisinin.

What I said was, that I didn't feel much of anything happening with Artemisinin and DID feel some effects of Artemisia. HOWEVER, I was NOT taking it for Lyme.

I was taking it IN CASE I MAY have had Babesia. I was never tested for Babesia, but it is pretty common knowledge on these boards that IF you have the coinfections, SUCH AS Babesia, it will be much more difficult to get rid of Lyme.

So, I thought I would try it JUST IN CASE I DID have Babesia. Never tested for it.

It is all the other herbs I am taking, I am taking for Lyme D..

Thanks for your posts here John. That clears up a lot of questions I have been pondering about WHAT you did exactly.
