Hello,

I have not seen where anyone complains about these so I thought I'd ask.

I had a severe head ache for a year. There were stabbing pains in the left side of my head. Every since, periodically I get sore knots in the same places that I had pain.

I take Flagyl for awhile and they get better. I don't know whether this is the Flagyl or just cycles the little bugs go in.

I know that spirochetal form turns to cyst form, but these are microscopic. They shouldn't make bumps, should they?

How big are the bumps / knots?

I have several size of a pea hard bumps that are not specifically related to pain in any way.

And I had recently started sprouting multiple period (.) size hard white bumps all over the place. I have some theory that this is either the lyme bugs trying to retreat to a safe place, or my body expelling some toxic substance.

I'm still in the phase of the stabbing pains in the head, after the year long head ache.

This stuff is just too weird, I say!

I used to have these, especially in the lower back portion of my head. I would say it's just the Lyme settling in there.

Can't believe someone else has this!! I have had "ice-pick" like headaches on the left side of my head for quite awhile now. About a year ago I started developing hard bumps on my forehead (left side) about the size of a pea to grape.
They are actually causing a "dent" in my forehead. They are quite large and very hard. I have showed them to regular doc, neuro and Lyme doc. None of them know what is causing this to happen. They said "maybe some kind of deposits....calcium, etc."..... but no one seems to have an answer.
They are ugly AND very disturbing....not knowing what they are, that is.

I have one in the center of my forehead at the hair line. I've had it for about as long as I think I've had lyme.

My husband calls it my unicorn bump.

I have another one on my right wrist that has gotten larger with recent abx.

I sure hope all the little spots . . don't turn into pea size bumps or I'll be bumpy all over!

This disease sure makes me wish I had studied science a bit more. Like I'd love to have a microscope and a scapel and take a look at what the hell these things are! And put them in test tubes and so forth. [Razz]

Well, it's time for bed. I hope my body twitches don't wake me up!

I am sorry to hear you have stabbing pains. I don't anymore, thank God. Maybe yours will go away soon.

I hate that you have these pains and sore places. I am glad to know that it is not just me. These hurt a little but that stabbing pain was awful. I hope yours will soon subside.

You guys are describing exactly what I had. I didn't have the knots as big or as severe, and it was very painful. The knots are called subaceous cysts. They are painful, but they do eventually go away. There isn't any treatment for them that will make them magically disappear, however there are things you can do (massage techniques and exercises, but I don't remember exactly what they were.) to make them go away quicker.

I am glad to know that they will eventually go away, I figured they would. This is a very small problem but I'm glad to know there are others who have experienced them.

My husband had one on his elbow. The quack told him it was "tennis elbow" and would go away. Well, it did go away but I don't think it was tennis elbow.

His was about egg shape and felt sort of mushy. He said it didn't hurt but it looked terrible.
