Does anyone else have Ringing of the Ears with Cymgbalta. I know most have some ringing from the LYME but OMG.......this ringing from cymbalta (after 2 days) is unreal. The drugstore says it is not a side effect, but have seen info on the net.
And today, I have had some hearing loss, kinda of scary. Anyone else??

I'm on Cymbalta and my ears ring all the time. Worse at night. I thought it statred after the meds for lyme disease.

Did you get any hearing loss with the increased ringing. I had trouble with this "lyme" ear yrs ago, but the cymbalta seemed to make it worse. Of course the drug comp says it doesn't cause ringing, but on the net I have seen others mention this. The hearing loss has me worried

Hey Littlesprout - I take Cymbalta & have ringing in my ears, too.
But I think my ringing was caused by Lyme, not the Cymbalta - I seem to remember that it started to come and go before I began taking Cymbalta (and waxes and wanes with herxes, as well).
If you're only 2 days into Cymbalta, and the ringing is worse, and now have hearing loss... sounds like cause for concern. Is Cymbalta the only med you added or changed? If so, I would suspect it, too.
Maybe you could give your doc a call, or back off of the Cymbalta until you can call on Monday?
BTW, Cymbalta has really calmed my peripheral neuropathy - so I do think it can be a good med if it works for you.
