I've been having the headaches and neck pain for awhile now, on and off, but now I am starting to experience facial pain, like in my left cheekbone. I've never had pain there before, I didn't even know I could.

Lately I've been worried about the PTC, but I didn't see facial pain listed as one of the symptoms.

I have sinus polyps that I have to have surgery for, so I wonder if that can be causing some of my headaches and now facial pain?

Does anyone else experience this?

I have pain in my ears, cheeks, teeth, cheekbones, lower jaw, tongue. What helps the most is prescription pain meds and heat.

I hurt everywhere there are nerves and muscles.

Facial pain was one of my first complaints to my doctor. My temples, cheeks, across my nose, and my jaw would severely ache for hours.

At first my doctor thought that it was related to migraine headaches. I had several injections of Imitrex which relieved my headaches but did absolutely nothing for my facial pain.

Then he thought maybe I had a sinus blockage, so he started me on Prednisone. That only made things worse.

The facial pain comes and goes. It's not as constant as it used to be. I have an unusual sensation in my jaw though and in the roof of my mouth. It sort of tingles. Not really painful, just annoying and uncomfortable.

Hi Robin,

Sorry you are hurting. I woke up with a headache one day. It was a stabbing one that would not go away.

Within a couple of weeks my forehead got sort of numb feeling except for the pain. Within a month, my numbness had gone all the way down the left side of my face.

My teeth felt like they were pressed together, I had the tingle in the roof of my mouth. I had pain in the bones around my left eye and across the bridge of my nose.

I can still scratch certain places on my head and feel it on my jaw and in the roof of my mouth.

I think it is toxins and lyme pressing on our nerves. B vitamins and L-tryptophan are suppose to help, along with detoxification. Mythel B, in shots is suppose to put the myelin back on our nerves I think, I'll check.

I couldn't whistle or smile either before it was over. This could have been the Bells Palsey that sneaked in. I'm still trying to figure things out.

Also my sense of smell and taste were extreme for about five months.

I hope you can find answers.

Sherry [Smile]
