I think that this is the way to go..the doxy and the zith I have not eradicated it in the brain..I think zith can kill it but I dont think doxy can..the reason is I did alot of doxy and it did not reduce the bart..only zith did..but I dont think it goes into the brain...

There was a post not too long ago regarding the different meds and their ability to cross the bbb.

Zithromax reportedly did, although weakly.

I, myself, believe that I am to start rifampin following next LLMD visit for bart.

Do a search on meds that cross the blood brain barrier.

Lots of good info. there....I printed it for furture reference.

Last week there was a thread on rifampin, zith and doxy for bart.
I think the combo was discussed as an effective bart treatment.

I am curious about that drug!

Rifampin is also the only other effective thing against Ehrlichiosis other than Doxy*)!!!
