Just to let everyone know,

The Discovery Health Channel is airing a show on lyme on Sunday April 29, 2007. 6 pm ET/PT

The first half hour is about a lady with a brain aneurism (I think), but the second half is about a man diagnosed with lyme disease.

I am emailing friends and relatives to watch. Hopefully they will get a better understanding of some of the things we are going through.

For those of you who watched the show a week or 2 ago, does this sound like a repeat?

I missed it, and would love to see it...

Reminder for everyone .......this show is supposed to be on tonight.

My online tv guide describes the show as "Deadly Sore Throat".......

Is this the correct episode?

I wonder how I can find the Doc in the show. She seems to be a good one...

Thats the 2nd lyme show I've seen on discovery health maybe sooner or later the rest of the country will see what we are going through.

That was a great show tonite, another good one.

His symptoms started very similar to mine, so it really hit home for me. And the trips in and out of the ER same thing happend with me.

What an awesome show!! I wish I had called more family members to watch it.

My hubby started out the same way as that guy...with trips to the ER and no diagnosis.

Hopefully more and more doctors will be pressured to treat Lyme.

Yes, it was a very good show, but does anyone know what happened to the whole hour show on Lyme that was supposed to air on PrimeTime Live with Diane Sawyer? They kept moving up the date for it to air, and now it seems to have disappeared completely. I hope this was not due to political pressure. Anyone know anything?

I always read these the next day!!!

If anyone knows that it is being repeated again and I will check it out in my area.

Thanks!

My only complaint with the show is that the man is now "100%" better after 1.5 years of treatment. What about discussing people who don't get all better even after years and years of treatment? There was also no mention of co-infections.

I did like how they touched on his continual visits to the ER and how they said it was all in his head.

Finally saw it. My "wow" moment was when he said he thought several times that they would finally find out what was wrong with him when they did the autopsy. I thought that several times myself after receiving some of my test results back.

I have to agree on why they did not bring up co-infections. This man sounded like he also had Babesia. He said he had a high fever at the

onset of sickness, could not take a deep breath in, bad headaches, and dizzyness. Anyone else

think that too? Other than that I thought there was a lot of good info. It sounded like my

symptoms when I first got sick.

If anyone taped it, I would be happy to pay for a copy.

Yeah, I thought all the ER visits were quite telling about the frustrations. Also, the fact that the guy was put in the hospital for a week for massive testing, yet still no diagnosis.

I keep wondering about Sawyer's Primetime Live show also. Don't know what happened to it.

I wish I had taped this show.

My husband hasn't had any of the chest pains like the guy (Doug?) had.... hubby had more pain in his joints in the beginning.

I wondered if he wasn't better (supposedly 100%) because his was diagnosed fairly early, compared to most people? I think it took a year or so for his diagnosis, but many people go for years and years before treatment begins. I believe the show said it took 3 years for his troubles, illness, and finally treatment to work.

I dunno, just a thought.

I suspect we will get an update on the Primetime show pretty soon. I have some real reservations about that one.... once they started talking to the IDSA folks, I got a little nervous.

I just don't want them to "spin" the information so that the IDSA ducks come off looking too credible. I wish someone could "preview" the Primetime show before I recommend it to any family or friends.

Agree, Tracy. Those are the same time reservations I had about calling family members before I saw the show on DHC. After it was over, I was wishing I had called more.

Darn it anyway!

My thoughts exactly, Boom. It's too much like gambling..... except that in Vegas, the only thing at stake is your money. [Smile]

When the Primetime show gets scheduled, unless some reliable Lymie has previewed the show, I may only give out information to those I trust to see the truth, and then hope that the show will re-air at some point if it is worth watching.
