After 10 years of wanting to do this, I have finally found an incredible biological dentist and had my mercury fillings and a crown removed.

Even though I am only 4 days post procedure, I am so delighted to have had this done, it feels like one of the best decisions I have made in regards to my recovery. And if any of you are searching for an excellent biological dentist in the midwest, send me an PM.

During the initial consult, the dentist echoed many of my concerns about mercury fillings and toxicities. That combined with her experience of watching her patients get better made the decision even easier.

So, I would love to hear from anyone who has tips on post amalgam detox. What methods did you use? How long did it take before you felt some relief? Currently, I am happily following Dr. K's protocol and chomping chlorella several times a day.

Thanks to Gigi, Selma, Scott and others who have posted on their experiences. I searched and read these for months before having this procedure done. The information was so valuable and I am again so grateful to have all this great info all in one place.

Congratulations on your journey to better health!

I just had my one and only root canal removed this past week and sent to a lab for neurotoxin testing. It went well.

A few years ago, I had my amalgams removed. I had a urine challenge test to determine which metals I had at which levels. I did 40 rounds of IV EDTA over several months.

Once the lead levels came down, the mercury came to the forefront. I started the IV DMPS (maybe 8 rounds). I did feel lighter as I went along, I will tell you. My energy came back.

I tolerated the IV chelation very well although many people do not. The pulling of the metals can make you sick.

Once I started aggressively treating the Lyme, my LLMD thought it prudent to leave the metals alone for a while.

I plan to go back to IV chelation in a while, to complete the puzzle. People have used the suppositories with good results. It can be a gentler method. Feel free to PM me.

Great news!! I felt much better getting mine out too! [but I was not that happy with my DDS, or I would have recommended him]

Lalalu,

Thanks for the feedback. I am still deciding what the next phase of treatment will be for me. That helps to know what treatments you did and how many. I plan to start researching my options in the next few days.

Lymetoo,
I must say this dentist was so awesome. My husband said he was so confused because he said everytime he came in to check on me, we were laughing. So, any dentist who can crack me up while having dental work is okay in my book. Obviously, her dental skills were incredible too because the crown that I had for over 10 years has fit like never before.
