That's right - the infamous TB traveler is the son-in-law of a microbiologist who works for the CDC studying .............. TB!!!

OK, I saw that.

I cannot believe there's no connection.

It's just WAY too coincidental!

My question, why was the guy tested for TB? There's no news reports explaining WHY the guy was tested for TB. There's alot of people walking around with TB that have not been tested, its surfacing in places like schools, day care and prisons.

The NY Times had an article on this TB guy yesterday, and says that they plan to treat him for up to TWO YEARS with antibiotics.

So, when will the IDSA step in and say that there is no proven benefit for this guy with long-term antibiotic treatment?

Also read in the article that they found his TB when he had a chest x-ray for a possible broken rib. Found his lung was infected.

my thoughts exactly. besides, his damn passport was flagged BEFORE he left so he knew he had it, yet he consciously chose to sneak back into the country endangering all those he came in contact with.

i agree totally with my husband -- he's thoughtless, selfish, and inconsiderate and should be taken out and shot!!!

i'd be furious, absolutely furious, and getting a lawyer if i was on that flight.

he was intentionally putting those people at risk and he knew it.

he's a first class jerk.....and he's a lawyer to boot......

According to what I've heard, it was "preferred" he not leave the country, but he chose to do so anyway so he could go get married and have his honeymoon. They could have easily marked him no fly, but they didn't...

The thing I want to know, is what kind of wedding couldn't be postponed because of TB? How the heck did that conversation go?
