I have not. I'm almost feeling left out! I've read that not everyone does, but sometimes, because I feel a little stuck on the road to recovery that I would like to Herx to mentally feel like I'm making progress. A bit irrational, no?

Maybe you are one of the few lucky ones....

Sometimes it can depend on which meds you are on and what combo you are taking.

I wish I didn't herx and just kept feeling better and better.

Don't envy a herx.....I'll gladly give you mine.

Hugs,

Geneal

Believe me you don't want ot herx, IF you can help it.

I did a few times, but did not like that at all.

I just kept getting better and better on herbs. Had a setback about 18 months ago when I took some abx, but overcame that.

IF you are staying sick with NO improvement, then maybe you need a whole different protocol to get you to where you want to be.

I mostly seem to slowly just get better.
However, once when I increased my doxy dose from 200 to 600mg my whole body felt like it was vibrating when I went to sleep. I don't know if that was a herz or not.

You see, this is why I ask. Really, I don't want to Herx. I guess if I herxed adn got better, I'd psychologically feel good about that, but the physical must be hell. I feel like I'm sort of just stagnating. Mind you, it's only been about a month since I started tx and I have not even seen my LLMD yet, and yes, I know that maybe I'm expecting too much, but that's me. Patience isn't something that I have a lot of.

Hi bob,

I have read some lucky posters here on LN who never do seem to herx much but just get better slowly over time. Lucky lucky lucky....herxing is horrible. I was not among the lucky few.

You should ask you doc about this but another reason you may not be herxing is that there are so many different strains of Bb.

Some abx hit only certain strains, so it is possible you :

1) just are among the lucky few who is not going to herx

2) or the abx you are taking is not targeting your particular strain

hope this helps [Smile]
Dana

none of the above is medical advise...just my 2 cents

Well, one thing good for you then IS you WILL learn patience. That is what the Ketes teach you. Because, unless you are one of the select few who caught it with the right treatment in a few days after being bit, they are going to be with you for quite awhile. Maybe even forever.

Most of us will never get rid of the Ketes. We just need to learn HOW to keep them happy, so WE can be happy.

PLUS, we need to get our lives up to par.

EyeBob-simple answer to your question- NO. Less than 50% according to my LLMD.

I do get slamdunked once in a while by certain meds-so I've learned to go with the flow-which is easier for me because I am on disability and any of my work is volunteering.

Take Care,
I'm getting better-in the long run it's worth it.
