Dr. H. oversees every new patient even if his PA's see that new patient. They follow his protocol & consult with him regularly, and he runs a strict office. They can prescribe ABX.

I think perhaps it is Dr H in NY you mean, not Dr B.H. who's retired?

Anyway, I wouldn't have thought that if Dr H is not taking new patients that you could see one of his PA'S because Dr H does oversee ALL cases, which means that even if a new patient is seeing a PA, it still adds to his workload.

Dr H in NY oversees his PA's with every new patient, hence the reason why he has such an overwhelming work load. Maybe this has changed, but when we went, he checked not only on new patients but also every time he had a new PA, he was there to monitor the new PA's decisions for at least the first few visits, and PA's will leave the room to consult with him or ask him to come in, which he does.

They used to joke that we were really getting 2 docs for the price of one.

I stopped goping a year ago, but I doubt this has changed as Dr. H. is extremely careful and conscientious.

I am one of the PA's patients. The first visit you get a couple hours with the PA, but you still get to see Dr. H for about 30 minutes (I had a new PA, so maybe that was because she was new). He looks over everything, talks to you, then prescribes.

Every so often you will actually have an appt. with him instead of the PA. The PA's are VERY good, and as said before, he oversees it all.

I'd say pretty much anyone who says they're a patient of Dr. H's is really a patient of a PA.

I hear Dr. H is also prescribing the Cowden protocol for a number of his patients. Is anyone having success with the cumanda, samento, burbur, etc? I'd love to hear about it. I'm doing a modified Cowden with a naturopath. I hear Dr. H is going to talk about his experience with this, and perhaps publish a paper. Has anyone else heard about this?

Thanks for your input.

He spoke to me a bit about Cowden last time I saw him. He says he's had great success with it. He wants me to stay on abx for now, but next month will be adding three of the Cowden herbs.

Did he say which herbs? Does it help with babesia? Did you have babesia? How did Dr. H. treat it?

This is interesting.

Thanks,
