I don't think I have ONE muscle that isn't spasming and wanting to turn me into a human pretzel.

Last week both shoulders dislocated and three ribs twisted out of their sockets... not to mention my neck was much like a slinky and my hips and low back looked like a washboard on steroids.

Ouch, whimper, whimper...

Sooooooooooooooooooooo.. after spending another day here spasming like it's going out of style.... and even going to the trouble of looking up "muscle spasms" on the computer in the event I've missed some vital piece of information somewhere... or some magical answers...

I decided the increase in spasms are the result of being cold again. This Florida sunshine girl is feeling like I'm in Alaska, sitting on an iceberg in a snow storm.

Cold to me is below 82 degrees... so I'm in trouble.

Without having to look up watts, MGZP's and LMNOP's and all that fancy electic talk stuff...

Please tell me what kind of bulb I can get to screw into what kind of SIMPLE fixture.. in real plain and simple language please.

I am going to build me a box and turn on a warming bulb inside and call it a sauna.

I want to have it be a portable one... where I can take my bulb with me if I want to use it elsewhere.

HELP!!!

Anyone know what is best.. and where to get it?

Thanks for the info!

There are some bulb designs but I can't search now. A few weeks ago there was a thread with lots of links to portable heaters and a sauna tent. It was in October sometime.

Amazon.com has many kinds of infrared heaters, one is really small and under $30, I think. As you're looking for something portable, bet you could put that one in a backpack.

Another style - Newair AH-320E INFRARED HEATER. Fan shape. Telescope stand so it will raise to heat while lying on a couch. It also tips a bit to direct the heat. Oscilates mode, too or can be still and has a REMOTE CONTROL.

I got this infrared heater two weeks ago. VERY nice heat. It feels wonderful and penetrates into the body. I use it when I get a massage at home, too.

No odor at all.

It is just med. or high, though, no thermostat. It's pretty, too.
My eyes are very sensitive to light, but this apricot glow is pleasant.

It also has a ion feather. (Corrected: uh, FEATURE, not feather!)

I thought I could just sit in front of it and sweat, but my back gets chilly - and I need to use it in a smaller room.

VERY quiet, nearly silent except for a few minor clinks when it heats up. One thing that I don't like is that while the dish is metal, the back of the fan shape is hard plastic and does not get very warm. However, warm plastic can off-gas. So, I'd prefer it metal - still the ionizer should help.

Lightweight. Would be easy to take anywhere.

In business for over five years

Here's a vertical unit I did not see when I ordered mine.

Hi Tincup,

I don't know if this is relative to you or not, but here goes.

My neck and shoulder muscles had atrophied (presumably from Lyme.) This caused my head to become misaligned with my spine. This affects the GI tract, immune system--many things.

Try this: Please lay down on a bed, no pillow, no back board. Have someone check the length of your legs. If one is "off" from the other by even a small amount, that is the sign that you could have what I had: a misalignment at C1 / C2, which is what certain highly specialized atlas orthogonal chiroprators work with. (Not the "grab your head and yank" approach of many conventional chiropractors.)

I mean--it seems like you are in a musculoskeletal nightmare. [Frown]

I saw an atlas orthogonal chiropractor--a special type of high-tech chiropractor. They make major improvements to C1 / C2 problems with a very gentle method.

If one leg is a bit shorter than the other, please let me know and I'll continue!

Daise
