Been so busy I forgot to celebrate the day - Nov. 10th was my 3 year anniversary off antibiotics!! [woohoo]

I continue to eat right, GET MY SLEEP, exercise and detox.

When I look back to a year ago, I say I'm a little more 'normal' and really don't have any lyme moments. I even survived a cold without any lyme symptoms kicking up.

I still take TOA Free Cat's claw, Flexeril, a beta blocker to keep my pulse in the normal zone(2 tries to get me off have not gone well), and periodic treatment with Diflucan. I continue on my vitamin regimen and Theralac and biweekly IM shots of magnesium. I use the podi patches about 5 days each month.

Just wanted others to know that it can be done - people do get well and even stick around here (just maybe don't stick our 2 cents in often enough).

Wishing the same good health to all. [Big Grin]

Here's the link to my past celebrations:

Ok, so maybe this should be in General...

But it's 2 years without antibiotics for me today!!!! And I feel fantastic - better than ever!

I still take toa free Cat's Claw for maintenance, tons of vitamins and minerals, Theralac (a miracle worker) and Flexeril at bedtime. Wish I could get off of it but still not able to.

I continue to give myself IM Magnesium shots, although weaning down to every 10 days now (from weekly). My magnesium levels are in the lower end of normal range (from scary low levels). Recent hormone testing has shown significant increase in my Progesterone levels, so I guess the balancing act is beginning to work.

I use the Podi Patches one week a month, although not much comes out of them any more and they're very light in color - another good sign..

Haven't had my CD57 rechecked because.... well because the last test a year ago got me very bummed despite my good health (I was a 1/19 absolute)..

Not bragging here - just looking to share some good news and let the newer people know there IS light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful news! I'm so happy for you!

I'm wondering how long you were sick before you were treated and how long treatment took for you to feel 100% better.

Great news Julie. I also believe when I get to the cured side of this, that I too will be healthier than I have ever been in my 50 yrs.

I learned so much about my toxic life prior to the straw that broke the camels back.

That's wonderful!!! [woohoo] Glad you're doing so well!! Let's go for another 2 yrs!! [Is it 2 or 3? I'm confused.]

My 3-year anniversary of being off abx is this month sometime. But it was dampened by the fact that I've been on abx for several months now for my continuing sinus infection....sigh.

Wow, thanks so much all for your fond wishes.

Sorry if I was confusing, Tutu - it is 3 years. I had pasted in my link and post from last year.

For the record, I was sick and undiagnosed with Lyme for over a decade, but had gotten bit again and picked up Bartonella in the spring of 2003 which brought my life to a screeching halt.

Treating Bart (clinical dx) and cleaning up my life has given me my life back. I am of the belief that we can get to 'peaceful coexistence' with Lyme, but we need to address all the other issues that led us to the meltdown.

My post is under success stories (somewhere).

Hi Julie,

So glad to hear you are still well. You helped my daughter with Nausea issues in early 2006, and I thank you for that. She is still in treatment, but much better than two years ago. We just can't seem to get over the last remaining symptoms??? So, we are trying to eat right and boost the immune system as much as possible. I guess time will tell.

Good for you and Thank you for posting for all of us to see that it is..... possible.....to hope..to wish...to believe!!!

You're my inspiration, you know, and have been since I started coming to Lymenet.
