Anybody take this? I bought some 250mg - haven't started them yet. Did some research - but didn't find much. Seems I read about an LLMD that highly reguards it for Lymies, but didn't save the article. To rid amonia from die off, I think? Anybody have any info, advice on this one? It's a metal? I'm confused...Does it add to our metal tox?
What does it help with? Good results w/ it? What dosage? Many Thanks & Happy Holiday's all!

I just started upping the dosage, its supposed to convert aldehyde to acetic acid and then to coenzyme A. This is good news.

I was found deficient in it once.

Is there such thing as Molybdenum toxicity?

Ive been taking alot of it. I know it competes with copper. I think the next time I go see my LLMD I am going to have my copper levels checked.

A lot of people don't believe in biotensors. However I tested positively for molybdenum. It is very important metal for liver function and therefor detoxification. Lymies don't seem to have the ability to maintain the proper level of this specific metal. It could be due to yeast in the body raising our copper and possibly creating copper toxicity. A combination of molybdenum and chromium GTF might rebalance copper in the body. Also a zinc complex is good in combination.

However there is such a thing as molybdenum toxicity. And toxicity in any metal including copper. Some form of energetic testing, is the only way to know when and what to supplement. And supplementing specific metals can be dangerous unless you know your body can use the metal.

I tested for molybdenum and chromium GTF for about 6 weeks and haven't tested positively for it since. And I was taking new chapter's zinc complex as well.

My reasoning is that I eat lots of sunflower seeds and chickpeas (hummus) and both of those are high in copper.


Since I was low at one point in Molybdenum and other detox methods have not given me success that maybee this is the mineral that will make things start moving.

How is it used in the liver?

Whats the upper dosage of molybdenum toxicity then, there is very little information online. Also, is it really a metal?

Also, when I was drinking chlorophll I felt a bit worse. Chlorophyll is high in copper.

Switch to pumkin seeds, high in zink but minerally balanced. Stay away from flax also high in copper.

With copper you have to find foods high in zinc. It competes with copper. Also the zinc complex I was taking is very good one IMO.

I can't emphasize enough the energetic testing to guide you through it. Get help with muscle testing you can do your self to make sure your body wants what you are taking. Create a topic here on lymenet for doing muscle testing, there are plenty of people who have been doing it and it is simple. By using muscle testing dosage is easy.

I applaud you for reasoning copper. It is a metal that can get out of control in chronically ill people. [Smile]

One of the key elements of the methylation factors my LLMD is now recommending is molybdenum. No dosage details, however, as it is part of a multivitamin he uses.

I have been taking it for a while now and swear by it.

I take it to assist in processing the die off of yeast. Molyb. is suppose to be able to break down the toxins left over when yeast is killed off.

I take 300 mcg's (or maybe it is 300 mgs - I would have to check the bottle, but my LLMD recommends 300 of the standard dosing).

According to http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/infocenter/minerals/molybdenum/ adults need 45 mcg (micrograms) of Molybdenum daily.

However, that assumes normal healthy lifestyle and body.

In the setting of methylation issues, one needs a lot more than that.

I myself take 1000mcg twice a week to help offset the reactivity from sulfites that I can't avoid (airborne - car exhaust contains sulfur dioxide, which acts like sulfite in the body).

I take 300 mcg.s a day.

I use it to help rid yeast die off toxins. I feel much better when on it then off and been taking it for close to a year.
